I've been around a long time. I recall the old style somewhat wooly (scratchy) pretty warm old long johns that pulled out of shape. Well, the old flaws have been overcome in these new versions. As soon as I took them out of the package and touched them, I knew these were not my grandfather's long johns. These felt silky cottony smooth (you might just wear them to bed on a cold night), are warm, and keep their shape. I wore them under pants and a white shirt (way underdressed for December) to a cold and rainy wedding, and I was warm. Really like these thermals. Great for a base layer while skiing, perfect for lounging around the house on a chilly day. They're almost too warm for outdoor winter biking though. They fit perfectly. I'm 185cm and 80kg, and sized up to Large (normally I wear Medium or Large Slim).

Purchased as a gift for my soccer playing son to wear during practice in NY cold winter. He loves this set and says they are very cozy and kept him warm. They run just a little short but that wasn’t a problem at all because he wears sock over. Would definitely order again
