I’ve tried Pibella, Shewee, Go Girl, and Sani Girl. The pibella has a pretty steep learning curve, and the rest left me with my pants at my knees, my butt in the breeze, and wet in all the wrong places. It’s easy to have leaks and spills. But with this one I pulled it out of the bag and gambled on not trying it first in the shower. Yup, I went straight to the real test: a toilet, fully clothed. I didn’t have to drop Troy too far because I didn’t need to get my hands into an awkward position or hope I sealed everything. And it worked! And it’s designed so it can wipe you too. Super easy to use, little bit of a learning curve with proper placement and slightly tilting your hips but I've used this twice now in my own bathroom- once without pants and once with pants and all the urine went out the device like it was supposed to. You dont have to worry about it overflowing it seems when you really have to pee (which was an issue with the go-girl and the go-girl is fully silicone so you had to take your pants off to use it.) The base of it is rigid plastic so its really easy to position without needing to press super hard to get a proper seal. I'll definitely be using this in the future for road trips, or late night concerts driving home in big cities where you have to ask to use their sketchy bathrooms at 1 am a d their are no kwik trips around. ... show more

I bought the GoGirl and Tinkle Belle devices to have a FUD for camping. Both are made in the United States. Overall, the Tinkle Belle is the clear winner in every situation, and I highly recommend it over the GoGirl for the following reasons: -- Ease of use: the GoGirl is a flexible silicone funnel, so in order to use it properly you must use pressure with your index/middle finger at the back. This was very difficult to get just right as too little - or too much - pressure will result in leakage out the back, and can be awkward when trying to use it discreetly. The Tinkle Belle has a rigid back part that is super easy to press up against yourself and prevent leaks which is far easier to use and has yet to leak. Additionally, because of its rigidity, there's a more firm seal all around, whereas with the GoGirl the seal is only where you're applying pressure (I've had it leak out of the side). -- Ability to use while keeping pants on: Due to how the GoGirl must be held, I could not use the GoGirl and keep my pants up, especially if they were tighter like leggings. With the exception of my gym shorts, I had to pull my pants down and show some booty with the GoGirl. With the Tinkle Belle, the back part is rigid enough to be able to use without taking my pants down. No booty!! -- Handling a river: the GoGirl frequently leaked when I had to REALLY go because the funnel would fill up faster. I was shocked that, despite its open design, the Tinkle Belle had zero leaks, zero overflow, and zero mess. -- Where the flow goes: The GoGirl flow out of the tip is almost straight down, so it was difficult to make sure I got it far enough away from my shorts. The Tinkle Belle is like a luge, so the stream is much further away from your body. (See the pic comparing where the stream would go when both are in the right position - the Tinkle Belle takes the flow about five inches further away.) It was very easy to not have to hover over the outhouse to make it into the toilet. -- Cleanup of self: I always needed a wipe after using the GoGirl, but the squeegee function of the Tinkle Belle really does mean you are almost completely dry. I can't even believe it works. -- Cleanup of FUD: Due to their construction material, you can shake the excess liquid from both FUDs. However, I felt the Tinkle Belle was easier to rinse on the go because I only had to pour a little water down it, whereas the GoGirl took more water to clean the inside. When I didn't have water, it was easier to wipe down the Tinkle Belle vs. the GoGirl funnel. -- Storage: The GoGirl can be folded and put back into the tube it came in, but it must first be wrapped in something else (like a baggie) because the silicone provides too much friction against the plastic tube and it will get stuck. This way of storing the GoGirl also means that any wetness would not be able to dry easily. The Tinkle Belle, however, folds back on itself and is just a little larger than the size of the tube the GoGirl gets stored in. This fold-back design means it can dry out more easily. Overall, the Tinkle Bell is my clear winner. I have started using it everywhere - I may never sit down to pee again! ... show more

The company that sells this item is a little odd, but the product itself is amazing! It's the best invention since the zipper. I am older now and squatting is more difficult. With the FUD not only can I stand up and pee, I can leave my pants on (or skirt down) and not get all bitten up by hungry bugs. The little tabs on the side in the middle give you the assurance that the devise is in the right place. I hike weekly and actually have fun using this! ... show more

I found that I wasn't hydrating as often as I should, on semi-public hikes, because I feared needing to pee away from accommodations. I'm also afraid of taking down my pants in public, due to safety concerns. I researched many options before deciding on this device, in part because it seemed to hold more liquid (avoiding splash over) and it seemed more comfortable. I also noticed a stellar review in 'The New York Times.' After using the Tinkle Belle 15+ times I can say that it's comfortable and convenient. As other reviewers mentioned, the biggest challenge may be 'telling' your body to pee even as you're not squatting or sitting. I also appreciate the thumb 'tabs' to help hold the device in place. I practiced at home the first 14 or so times, using the 'squeegee' edge to wipe before wiping with toilet paper. When out and about, I also wiped (with a reusable pee cloth) as the moisture buildup can cause chafing for me, yet I think I could probably get by with just the Tinkle Belle if necessary. I can definitely see how this little gadget would make nasty public restrooms far more bearable, unless your plan is Number Two, of course. Buy one! ... show more
