  • Fiber cement board siding is 1/4 thick. If your siding is thicker, it is not fiber cement board siding and will not work.
  • 1. Make sure you have fiber cement board lap siding. (horizontal boards that overlap each other) 2. Find an area that is at least 3 feet long that does not have nails. 3. Take a standard size screw driver and try to insert the tip between the siding boards and test to see if the board will flex about a 14 inch to make a gap large enough to insert the hook. 4. If all of these conditions are met, you should be fine. 5. These hooks are 12 wide and 3 3/8 of an inch long. 6. Please watch the videos.

These hooks are amazingly clever and were just what I needed to attach a wire basket to the wall (see photo). I watched the manufacturer's YouTube video (just search for "no damage hooks") and the installation was just as easy as it looked, taking literally seconds to insert the hooks and position them properly. I have one piece of advice--if you have painted your siding, it may be difficult to insert the tool as directed. You might need to run a utility knife under the full length of siding board where you want to place the hooks to allow the tool to work properly. ... show more

    • Easy to install and sturdy.
Hooks worked just as advertised. The design is perfect for installation on Hardie board siding that doesn’t have as much flex as vinyl siding. Suggestion for anyone using these though is to place a piece of paper or something between the spacing tool and the siding. Depending on the type of paint, the tool can scuff the paint a little. Not a big deal and I easily handled using a piece of the plastic shipping package. An additional product design that might be good for the future would be to have the exact same dimensions on the hook except for the tip. If the tip could be made narrower, it would work with items that have more of a keyhole style hanger instead of a wire or slotted hanger. (It could work like hanging something on a nail or screw with a head.) That would provide options to customers. Just a thought. Overall, seems to be great product and was very easy to install and seems very sturdy. We used them to hang outdoor thermometer and clock set with no issues. ... show more

    • Good product, not as easy to use as the video shows
Easy enough to install but took a little more effort than the how to video shows. Def caused some stress cracks on the fiberboard but didn't break it through completely. Nothing that can't be polished out with some bondo and paint.
