  • Looks Great Initially, But Rubs Off On Wear Spots
Color: Navy Blue
With several coats and elbow grease, I got a 20 year old leather couch looking almost new again. I was quite pleased with the product and I think I even gave it a 5-start rating. However, after 7 months on, the dye is starting to fade on those wear spots again. I just ordered a new jar and anticipate every few months or so I'll need to reapply the dye. ... show more

  • It works!
Color: Dark Brown
Very happy with the results I got. This sofa arm had been torn up by a cat. The product was easy to use and did the job. Deducting one star because it will rub off when wet. I will be purchasing the leather conditioner to see if that helps it to stay. Will update.

  • The product is as pictured.
Color: Camel
The balm is easy to use, after cleaning the leather just rub the balm on to the leather then buff with a clean towel.

  • Test before you use and reapply, reapply
Color: Maroon
The color turned out differently than expected, but I think that was because I didn't test on a section that was as sun bleached as the more visible parts of the leather I was coloring. A tip for anyone using this product over leather tear/scratch repair products that are white and chalky: it will take several coats on top of the white to match darker tones. It worked best when I colored the white repaired patches only and reapplied before applying a coat of the balm all over my leather. I also used the provided sponge to stipple over the edges of my repaired patches after everything was recolored and that helped to blend any darker/lighter areas. ... show more

  • Works REALLY well. Wow!
Color: Medium Brown
I'm not big on writing reviews but this stuff worked so well on our West Elm Harmony Leather Sofa I had to write something. We have the Nut Saddle Ludlow Brown Leather and the corner of the sofa is close to the patio door and gets a lot more sun than the rest of the sofa and was fading pretty badly. I put 1 coat of the Medium Brown Recoloring Balm starting in the middle of the worst area and gradually made my way out towards the parts that weren't faded. It was easy to feather the application and blend the balm coloring with the unfaded part of the sofa. At one coat the color matched perfectly but I don't want to deal with this again for a while so I put a LIGHT second coat and then I could see where the color was slightly darker than the rest. If I was going for accuracy of the match, 1 coat was perfect, but since I'm not going to move the sofa that corner is likely to get faded again quicker than the rest of the sofa so I'm happy with the 2 coats. I highly recommend this product. DEFINITELY wear a pair of nitrile gloves when using this, it seems like something that would be hard to get off your skin. ... show more

  • Colorant kit
Color: Medium Brown
Balms will wipe off most leather material. After waisting money on balms I did more research- a colorant kit was needed for my recliner. You can purchase this through furniture clinic website. At the time of my purchase I was told the color matching/colorant kit was only available UK, which I had to pay shipping. You may want to contact them through email first. A sample leather from my chair cost me about $2 USD to send through USPS. Images- I attempted to clean my chair with a leather cleaner. The front edge of cushion color came off. The image is darker, taken with a different camera. Tried to repair with balm (which also removed the natural color) With colorant kit you remove the natural color/wax/finish to prep for the colorant being put on. Once putting the colorant on you use the sponge for 1 coat. My issue with this was the large crease on my chair in the middle. The center of the crease was not taking any colorant. So I kept adding colorant to the sponge trying to get it in this crease. All this did was result in a large dark spot around the crease, as multiple layers of colorant absorbed in the leather. THIS DOES NOT COME OUT. I tried using the natural removing chemicals it came with and it would not budge at all. Because of this large dark spot I had to use multiple layers of colorant over the entire cushion to blend it all. Which made this cushion a full dark brown instead of a speckled dark brown. (See image) TIP- if an area does not absorb colorant you can use a soft art paint brush to add color to that area before spraying colorant or just leave and wait to see results when spraying the colorant on with the air brush. Overall I’m content with results. Hope this helps! Good luck! ... show more

  • Covers Scratches & Drys Quick
Color: Medium Brown
I used the medium brown recoloring balm to cover the scratches on my FlexSteel medium brown leather couch. I didn't do anything special, no prep or cleaning. I just sponged it on the top of all 3 seat cushions and it looked great. Of course, the deep scratches are still there but the color of the tops of the 3 seat cushions all match so no more white scuff marks. I did let it dry for about 10-15 minutes then I wiped it off with a lightly moist rag. I was able to sit on it about an hour later. By the way, I was able to color the tops of all 3 seat cushions with about 1/4 of the bottle, so plenty left over to cover future stuff marks. ... show more
