So I saw this in an instagram ad so so many times. It seemed really gimmicky and like a bandaid for the problem of your bag always falling off your suitcase. I was seriously so shocked how well this works. I have flown several times with it now using my LL Bean Boat and Tote on top of an aluminum away suitcase (aka metal so the bag used to always slip off due to it being a low residence surface). Not once have I had an issue in my bag falling now. It is also great for going thru security or just taking your bag off whenever. You can either unclip it (and the clip is SUPER high quality and heavy duty) or slide the back strap off so the strap stays around your tote/hand bag. Now the tote I use this with is canvas - and while it seem like a pretty gentle strap to hold your bag, I am not sure how it would hold up on something like calf skin or some other soft leathers.

This is great, but it's way too costly for what it is. I bought one for my wife and it does what it should, but I ended up using a pants belt that's made of seatbelt material for my bag. That belt was only about $20, while this is more than twice that.

This is a fantastic product, and has really enhanced my ability to move through the airport without looking or feeling like something out of a slapstick comedy. It holds my backpack securely to my roller bag. The buckle is EXTREMELY sturdy and the construction is very rugged. It's super easy to use and quick to deploy or stow as the need arises. It fit my Travelpro carry on perfectly, and can be expanded to hug a pretty large backpack or other bag to your main luggage. This is going to be a necessary element to my travels from now on. No more backpack-wrangling and trying in vain to get the backpack to balance on the extended carryon handle as I whisk through the airport. We like to do minimalist travel and can go for 2-3 weeks on a carryon and a small daypack. Part of the appeal of minimalist travel is not being encumbered, so this great item is right in line with that goal and it cemented its place in my packing list on our most recent trip.
