    • A Guide to Happy Axolotls!
Format: Kindle
This book is eye-opening for anyone curious about these little water buddies. This seasoned author breaks things down in a way that's easy to get. It's not just scratching the surface; it dives into where these axolotls live, what they munch on, and even when they decide to change their look. The author's stories about these critters add a nice touch, making me see why giving them the proper care is crucial. This guide clears up some myths people toss around about axolotls. It's like having a pro whispering in your ear, giving you solid tips and tools for keeping your water buddies happy. Even though it's not a thick book, it's packed with good info and sets you on the right track if you're just starting out. I liked how they threw in an axolotl care log and tips for a starter kit. Though, I wouldn't have minded a few more pictures to go along with all the details. However this guide is gold for someone starting their journey with axolotls. It's like adding another tool to your kit, making axolotl care a breeze. Recommended! ... show more

    • Must have if your a beginner
Format: Paperback
This is a great book. If you’re a beginner like me it’s a must have. It teaches you everything about Axolotls, that you need to learn. Very very informative book. So glad I found this book. I learned so much. from what to feed, to how to cycle a tank to begin with. How you can grow your own food for the Axolotl at home. What size tank you should have and things for inside. Like never use gravel. So important. I highly recommend this book if you are thinking about getting an Axolotl. Or even if you just got one. 10 Stars ... show more

I found the book to be very helpful in setting up the tank for my axolotl. There is a lot of information in here that the breeder did not inform me of. I am including a picture of my little guy. He seems to be a lot happier and less stressed since I bought a chiller to keep the water regulated at the temperature he prefers. ... show more

    • fascinating
Format: Kindle
Before reading this book, I knew nothing of these adorable, amazing little creatures. The author, George Feron has provided a complete guide to Axolotl care. The book helps the reader avoid common mistakes and gives wonderful tips to keep these little creatures healthy and safe. Everything you need to know, starting with the history of the Axolotl, setting up the tank, why creating hiding places is necessary and the detailed dietary requirements. Feron addresses the potential hazards. I really enjoyed the FUN FACTS; ex can regenerate any body part in days or weeks and how a video game was the reason for the surge of interest in this amphibian. Fascinating book that I really enjoyed ... show more

    • Pretty good!
Format: Paperback
This book is very helpful! I am planning on getting axolotls this December and I am happy to say that my tank either has everything that this book says it needs or has it on the way. There are only two things that I think you could improve, hence, the absence of the fifth star. First, since this book is primarily for those hoping to get one of these adorable little guys, I personally recommend that you add a catalog of axie colors, possibly with pictures. That way, people hoping to get an axolotl could decide what color they want. (Personally, I want a chimera axolotl, but like most of us, let’s just say that I don’t travel in a limo with a hot tub in the back.) Second, in your guide, you claim that in the popular video game Minecraft, axolotls are, and I quote, “easily located” but only spawn in lush cave biomes, a fairly rare biome. As a player of the game, I disagree, since… 1, they spawn exclusively in lush cave biomes. 2, finding a lush cave biome, especially a small one is not a surefire shot at finding an axolotl. You are much more likely to come across some tropical fish, or (yikes) a skeleton! P.S. you may also want to include that the blue axolotl can only be obtained by breeding. Please consider my suggestions. Sincerely, An Aquarist. ... show more

    • A very good and helpful book!
Format: Paperback
I really enjoyed this book because it gives lots of details on how to take proper care of an Axolotl. I am planning on buying an Axolotl and I can refer to this book whenever I need to. I really liked the free bonuses that came with it, like the Weekly Axolotl Care Guide; you can make sure your aquarium has the right temperature and ph. Love this book! ... show more
