Really repels the rain and keeps the chill off in a lightweight jacket

Fabric and construction seem to be good North Face quality. Should be a nice jacket for rainy or cool days from Spring through Fall. There is not an inner pocket or a chest pocket, but the hand pockets are constructed so that an interior pocket is formed from the pocket stitching (could be used for a cell phone or small wallet). The hand pockets have zipper closures, the jacket has zipper vents in the underarms for ventilation, the inner seams are sealed to keep moisture out, the sleeve cuffs have adjustable velcro closures to keep the sleeves nice and snug. I am 5'6", 128 lbs, and the medium size is plenty loose enough on me to wear a bulk sweatshirt underneath the jacket. The color selection is awesome - I might order another jacket in a size small in another color just to have a spare.

I love all products by NorthFace. Just know the women’s cut is more form fitted. Unsized up for a looser fit so sweaters and sweatshirts can fit underneath.

I first ordered my normal size, which is a large. I could zip it, but if I wanted to layer underneath, it would have been too snug. I returned the first one and reordered an XL. The sleeves velcro, so length wasn't a problem. I love the color--it brightens up a dreary day! Hood has great coverage, although it doesn't zip away into the collar. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase

This jacket is advertised as a 2X, but I suspect that North Face isn't using standard plus sizing as this was so small. Sad as it was a beautiful coat, so functional. And the teal color was amazing.
