FINALLY! The backpack I have been looking for. I am a female college STEM student pursuing Environmental Engineering. With my degree, I often have a lot of lag gear, notebooks, binders, textbooks, etc... that I need to carry with me to campus. This bag fits the bill perfectly. I previously had the Northface Surge but quickly returned it when I tried packing it. Aesthetically it wasn't what I was looking for, and it had a lot of space, but stuffing the main compartment with two binders, two notebooks, a composition notebook, a planner, my pencil case, and my charging bag rendered the front pockets useless; the material pulled space from the front pockets so I couldn't use them and they weren't big enough to move anything I had in my main compartment to the front. Needless to say, I am much more pleased with this purchase. To start, I love that it has adjustable straps at the sides where the water bottles go because even with my bag full, I can fit a 40oz hydro flask and my coffee thermos in each pocket. There is some strain on the pocket with the hydro flask, but I knew that going into purchasing this backpack. The water bottle pocket material isn't stretchy but it does have a strap that can be adjusted to make that compartment smaller if you have a thinner water bottle that you'd like to compress to your bag. I also love the easy pull zippers and think this backpack fits so snuggly. I love that Northface makes a smaller framed backpack for women but that the liter size doesn't change. I find the backpack to be very comfortable to wear. I was able to fit my laptop and iPad in my laptop case in the back laptop pocket. In the main compartment I fit two one inch binders, one textbook, two one subject notebooks, one composition book, one 8x11 planner, one chapter book, my pencil case, my charger case, and my "backpack bag," which has some basic first aid, makeup, a lint roller, hair ties, tampons, etc... in it. In the top front pocket I fit my over the ear headphones, some markers, pens, sticky notes, a small notebook, my sunglasses and their case, my ear buds, and index cards. However, I will probably break my backpack bag down into this pocket since it's the organizational pocket. I stashed my umbrella in the front mesh pocket and had my 32oz hydroflask in one side pocket and my coffee thermos in another. This bag fit literally everything I like bringing with me to campus every day. This is the backpack I have been looking for for the last few months. I am super impressed with its durability and am very much looking forward to using it for school. TLDR; -fits my 32oz hydroflask and 20oz coffee thermos -fits comfortably on the body -comfortably fits laptop, tablet, and case if I need it to -comfortably holds two binders, three notebooks, one large textbook, three books, and three pencil case sized bags in the main compartment when bottom straps are extended -front mesh pocket holds my umbrella perfectly -perfect for college STEM student

I just got this back pack today and from the looks from it, it’s so great to be honest it has everything that I wanted my new back pack to have great for school and looks so pretty!!
