These are super comfortable and if you walk on slippery surfaces, your feet do not slip in the shoes or sandals) and the shoes do not slip on about any slippery surface. I’ve had about 6 pairs and wear them all the time. They are quit durable, but inexplicably, after a year I “blow out” the left shoe! Do I walk “funny?” I don’t think so. Hmmmm. This is my third or maybe fourth pair of the North Face Base Camp II flip flops in the past several years. Not only are these the most comfortable flip flops I've ever worn, they are also some of the most durable ones as well. I've purchased dozens of other brands, some that cost even more than the North Face but I usually only get 6 months out of them. I wear flip flops everyday when I'm not at work. Year round, including the winter. These North Face ones usually last a out 2 full years before I need to replace. So if you want comfort, durability, and all around good looks, these are the ones for you. ... show more

These are very comfy sandals. I have 3 pairs because good, durable, comfy, well cushioned sandals are super hard to find! (Especially on sale!) These have a thick rubber sole. The bottom layer of which seems to be a harder material for better durability. The foot bed starts out flat but within a short time has shaped to my foot so they actually seem quite supportive. (But not so soft & shaping that my foot sinks to the bottom). I generally wear supportive, high quality, high end hiker style shoes. I like these. These are basic, comfortable, seem very durable & aren't outrageishly priced if you watch for a sale. I bought men's 8 because they don't make a womens size. I'd say these run small. The strap are would probably be tight if I purchased a smaller size. I usually wear an 8-9 in women's sandals. I have a wide, thick foot. 4 stars because that my tops for any item. I will not buy any other flip flops. I love these for their comfort and durability. I used to be loyal to the other flip flops that have more of a squishy foam base, but I didn't like how after six months they would be permanently squished down, and then I'd get a hole in the toe or part of the heel. These flip flops do not squish down, and stay firm yet very comfortable. I also love the strap, as it never gives me blisters from rubbing like other can. This is my second pair, and I am a fan for life of these. I hope that they never stop making them! ... show more

Bought my first pair of these flip flops in 2017 and they broke within a few years of very minimal use. Bought them again in 2024. I should have returned them due to the sole of the shoe coming off of the top layer. Instead, I tried to fix it myself with some shoe goo (typical guy). A few months later the strap came out of the shoe which is an entirely different problem. I love North Face gear, but something is seriously wrong with these shoes when shipped from Amazon. I loved the look and feel of the flip flops but can’t imagine a reputable company like North Face letting this get out of the quality control process. These broke in such an inopportune time, that I decided to write my first Amazon review after being an avid customer since the early days of their start up. ... show more
