This was a gift for my ~11 yo nephew. He was so excited to receive this and was even able to tell me the names of all the dinosaurs from memory. I will say that the pieces themselves are a little fragile (hence the 4 stars) with some of the dinosaurs coming slightly bent or a little loose from the stand. That said, none of them were actually broken and they were completely usable. I also liked that each piece had a little symbol on the base to note what chess piece it was in case you forgot. I do think it is slightly overpriced but it makes for a great gift for someone who likes both chess and dinosaurs. ... show more

My grandson absolutely loved this chest set! We played a game as soon as he opened it. It was easy to distinguish which each piece was because the name is printed on the back.We had a great game!!! In the end I relinquished and laid down my king.
