These records are absolutely beautiful, both in how they look and how they sound. The artwork and vinyl design really capture the spirit of The Nightmare Before Christmas, and it feels like a collector’s piece as much as an album. The media could not be loaded. My girlfriend nearly cried when I gave this to her as a Halloween present. The vinyls are gorgeous, sound great, and the zoetropes are wonderful. You'll see a lot of nonsense about special lighting, certain cameras, apps, etc for revealing zoetrope animation; but let me tell you how I easily took a bunch of b-roll with only my phone (and a tripod, optional). Instructions for Android phones: go to your camera app, enter manual/professional/whatever your phone calls it video mode, dial your "speed" up or down until you see the animation become more and more clear. Once the animation is showing smoothly, the image will probably be very blown out (highlights) or very dark, so proceed to dial your ISO up or down and play with your exposure setting until it's balanced out. If you're using a tripod or some other handsfree stabilizing implement, manually lock your point of focus somewhere toward the center or outer-3rd of the frame and take a couple short test clips to make sure that's where you want it. Fiddle with angles and the aforementioned settings to your desired result. If you're not using a tripod or otherwise, set your focus to auto tracking and tap where you want it, but try to avoid moving toward and away from the platter (smoothly side to side should generally be fine). Some or all of these instructions may work with iPhones, but I cannot personally confirm that. Flash is optional, depending on your situation. Hope that helps! At first, I was surprised with how thick and heavy each record is. Each side is a different vinyl pressing design, which led me to fear the needle would skip. But, I was wrong. Even my clutzy bumps onto the table my Fluance turntable is on didn’t skip the needle once. Then each song on both sides sounded amazing! I heard no flaws at all even though I expected it to skip or have sound defects since the pressings made the vinyl look glossy. After I sent samples to my friends, they also wanted the album. Hopefully they will buy it because it’s worth buying! The album & sleeves are both thick material to further ensure the vinyl discs will be preserved for a very long time. I highly recommend this album to those who both enjoy this movie and love how vinyl records sound! ... show more
