Bought this as a gift for a friend who loves the New York Times crossword puzzles, and although I really like the quantity of puzzles and the quality of the puzzle book itself, I really wish that the font size was a bit bigger. Clues are hard on the eyes.

This book was a great purchase. The puzzles are harder than what I find in the newspaper, but I like the challenge and feeling of accomplishment when I complete them. The themes are clever, and I like having the solution available if I'm really stuck. I tear the pages out of the book to work on, as I find it too awkward to handle the whole book. ... show more

I really enjoy the challenge these iconic puzzles present. Even those 'made up' words (e.g. celebrity dieth) are a hoot. Theme puzzles are my favorites. However, the one thing that drops the overall rating is the tiny print. We old folks like the clues to be a bit larger and easier to read. Otherwise, fine book. ... show more
