    • Good Movie Trilogy to keep forever
The set has multi-languages, including Chinese Mandarin & English, the voice double is pretty good. At last, I can share this great film with my mom, so she can understand my passion for the movie. My all time favorite is The Lord of the Rings. The Hobbit is a little weak in the plot line, since the story is much simpler, but being Tolkien & Peter Jackson's fan, I don't mind at all. It's still worthwhile for me to enjoy & keep for the rest of my life. ... show more

Total price breaks down to $8.00 a movie for blueray and DVD copies of all three movies. Had thought about purchasing these movies in the past but never got around to it. Decided the price was right for three very good fantasy movies that look really good on larger screen uhd televisions. Set is region free and plays well in my blueray player. Actually upon further inspection second disc in each case is a special features blueray disc not a dvd. Even better in my opinion. ... show more

    • Good Quality Video, but...
I received the 4K discs in perfect condition. The audio and video are good, except for the Extended Version of the Hobbit, Unexpected Journey. This version has been freezing up, starts up again, and then freezes up again. The last time it froze, it DID NOT resume, so I stopped the playback. I have tried the other discs and they seem to be fine. I am just a little disappointed in this situation. I am tempted to return the item but have not yet decided to do so. UPDATE: I did return the item and so far, the "freezing" issue has been resolved with the replacement I received in a very expeditious manner. I am now giving this item "5 Stars". ... show more

    • Simple yet enjoyable Hobbit set!
This is a great affordable set for any LOTR fan! While this set fails to compare to the extended editions of the films, this set does excel in other areas. It's affordable, attractive, and is a quality set! The slip cover has these indents in it to give it some texture which makes it all that much cooler in my opinion.
