Update: Not long after this post I received an entire brand new gym keg with sleeve in the mail. Absolutely updated to five stars for that. Haven’t been using the sleeve as much but still love the product. My husband was putting my original in the fridge and dropped it and it exploded. The bottom of the jug popped off BUT I believe that may have been a fluke because it’s sturdy and seems well made. Just wanted to give all aspects of my experience but still it’s a five from me. Had my brand new bottle waiting on me when that happened and have had no further issues. Also I drive with this in my car and it dumps over all the time with NO leakage! Absolutely love the product helping me drink enough water and get my supplements in over the course of the day. Great size seems to be good quality love the handle. However I’m super bummed I’ve only used this three times since I got it Wednesday and the sleeve has already started falling apart and I’ve only put it on the first day, just refilled the second day, then third day I removed and washed and when I put it back on it started shredding apart. Probably only thing holding this back from a 5 star review.

For $18, the quality is alright. It doesn't feel super durable, but haven't had any issues. There's a slight whistling sound from the air hole above the mouth piece, but it's a good jug overall.

During COVID quarantine I decided to make the most of the time and set some serious health and fitness goals for myself, one of them being to drink at least 2 liters of water per day. It’s been hard for me to track my water consumption in the past because I just take drinks here and there out of smaller bottles and it’s a pain to keep track of how much. With this, it’s super simple; fill it up at the star of each day and drain it by the end (preferably before 8pm so I’m not running to the bathroom all night). Besides the fact that it has totally simplified my goal and kept me 100% on track since I’ve had it, the bottle itself is AWESOME!! It looks super cool and chic (I have never gotten compliments on a water bottle before until I got this), ultra light weight (which is great because the water weighs enough all on its own), DOESN’T LEAK (it’s passed the test of getting thrown in the back of my trunk), the water stays colder longer thanks to its own personal little wetsuit, the spout is the PERFECT size for drinking (not too small, not too big) and isn’t made of that gross silicone that I hate on water bottles, the bottles doesn’t taste weird, seems super high quality and well made, and the carry strap might be the best feature in a water bottle that I’ve ever had!! The handle is awesome too, but the strap is just soooooooo convenient! I keep my bottle in the bottom of my fridge door and grabbing the strap is the easiest way to pull it out and carry it around. I really look forward to taking this with me to the gym after quarantine but have already taken it with me to run around the park and just driving around town. I haven’t experienced any issues with the quality of the materials used as others have mentioned, specifically with regard to the cover, but I will update if I do. The only thing to note that isn’t necessarily a con is if you’re too aggressive with your drinking or tip it back too far, you will get splashed in the face by the air hole (which often whistles while I drink as well). Again, it’s not a con because the bottle HAS to have an air hole so the flow will be smooth, but because of where it’s placed, you just have to be careful not to tip it back too far or too fast when drinking. Pro tip: I have also recently discovered Stur water enhancing drops and LOVE to add them to my keg to make drinking this much water a little more enjoyable. All it takes is 2 squirts for the whole jug and it tastes great! In summary, this is water bottle has been the difference between keeping my water goals and not and looking/staying cool doing it! I don’t normally take the time to write reviews on an Amazon, but I made the time for this product hoping it would help others make smarter shopping decisions. I had two of these gym kegs and both were filled with water, dropped from a 3ft height approximately (waist-level height) and both completely shattered on impact. If the carrying strap gets wet and you attempt to grab the bottle by the strap, I can guarantee that this cheaply manufactured plastic keg will inevitably slide from your grasp and be irreparably crushed on impact with a variety of different surfaces. The first keg shattered when dropped on tile flooring and the second keg shattered on impact with the padded rubber gym flooring of Planet Fitness (both dropped from the same height). The Real Lowdown on this Product: The plastic polymer used to make this bottle is is incredibly cheap, fragile and defective. The bottle collects debris interiorly if not regularly cleaned (nonetheless slowly discoloring the plastic to a yellowish brown hue over time). They’ve disguised this cut-rate plastic bottle by wrapping it in a colorful eye-catching sleeve, then upped the price by 40% in hopes of pawning off a low-end substandard product on shoppers consumed by the aesthetic look of the sleeve; thereby likely to forego the due diligence of searching for/reading objective reviews. I was willing to call the first failure a fluke, but after the second occurrence I can tell you with confidence that this cheaply manufactured, overpriced sleazy product will only disappoint you if you fall for its aesthetic sleeve. Do yourself a favor and buy 1 stainless steel gym keg that will last you years rather than pay for 2 plastic gym kegs that didn’t last 7 months.
