  • Simple cute and fun
Platform: Xbox Series X
Okay I don’t get into games much, but it’s the GRINCH! At first I wasn’t sure as it seemed too simple but the more I got into it the more I found it hard to put down.

  • 🎶You're a mean one,Mr.grinch and your game is really solid🎶.
Platform: Xbox Series X
This one is a solid platformer that you should try,my only issue with it that it can be finished in two days or less but still I myself would touch this game with a 🎶39 and half foot pole🎶.

  • A Lackluster, Frustrating, Short Excuse for a Game
Platform: Xbox Series X
I was initially excited to purchase this game for my family to enjoy during the holiday season. It had decent reviews, so I assumed it was at least be "nice." Unfortunately, Mr. Grinch (and his game) was nearly as naughty as they come. The game is easy, but it also isn't. The movement is awkward, the controls are screwy, and the bugs are plentiful. This results in an experience where older players won't really feel a sense of accomplishment and younger players will struggle to even complete the levels. It's the worst of both worlds, and it's disappointing to see Dr. Seuss' work so poorly utilized. Part of the issue is that the game was likely developed for mobile platforms, and it really shows. The extraneous "checkpoints" and complete lack of penalty for player "death" indicate a "pay to continue" scheme which was removed. The puzzle piece collection and assembly is annoyingly frustrating due to its simplicity, monotony, and the sheer slowness of the cursor. There are 18 levels across three chapters, most of which can be completed in 8-12 minutes. The pacing is odd, to say the least. It's clear that the original concept held more levels and structure. At a certain point, the pre-level passages from the book no longer align with the in-game levels. Unfortunately, it seems that a few of the poor people who worked on this title genuinely cared about it. There are nice touches and details here and there, and credit is due on rare occasion here. Unfortunately, the frustrating and short gameplay (Seriously, it will take just a few hours to earn all achievements for an experienced gamer) as well as level-ending bugs (getting physically stuck) should make this game a hard pass. Especially at its current price. ... show more
