Description

One of the most renowned of all grimoires, the Greater Key of Solomon is a translated compilation of Solomonic magic taken from seven different manuscripts ranging from the 15th to 17th centuries. Compiled by Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers at the end of the 1800s, its content is partially diabolical, partially god-fearing, and completely magickal. Through the rites listed within the text, which is broken into two books, the master, or operator, is said to be capable of calling forth a number of demonic spirits and securing various powers and abilities- partly through conjuring, partly through the use of pentacles and talismans. Additional "experiments" in invisibility, restoring lost property, and more, are also listed. It contains an interesting passage regarding crafting a magic carpet, and several spiritual texts related to Kabbalah. The mage is warned repeatedly by Mathers and by Solomon (within the context of the work itself) to remain chaste and pure, for otherwise is to invoke the wrath of the entire cosmos. Ok I bought goetia tarot in darkness. It’s one of the best connections with tarot I have ever had. Big problem is the instruction booklet has a font the size of -300. To make it reasonable I got a couple different books on the subject. I have already bought and read the greater and lesser key of Solomon. I wanted to have a physical copy. Nice books. Poor print copy of the seals. In the greater key. Remember magic is not like the movies or tv. A spell you cast won’t make you become a super sayan. Take this seriously if nothing else. Please. The biggest negative of the book is that i think the illustrations got stretched out more than expected therefore some illustrations appear not as clear as i think they are supposed to. There however are not an excessive amount of illustrations and they are secondary to the subject matter as almost every picture is explained in extreme detail on how to make them for the summoning of certain spirits etc. Definitely more interesting if you want to practice the things written inside than the lesser keys (you should absolutely get them together, this one first!). All this said its still a very good read if you are interested in any way in the subject matter. ... show more

Upon receiving it, I have to say that the edition edited by Tarl Warwick is a wonderful edition and highly recommended. Simple and affordable!
