I am busty (34G UK sizing) with a long torso, so the waist of most matrix-sized clothes do not fall at my natural waist (near my belly button). Why is this important? Because with the projection of my chest, if the waistline hits too high, I look much heavier in my middle than I am, usually as though I'm pregnant. This dress ACTUALLY FITS, and is flattering. The ruching down the sternum allows for the projection of my chest, without pulling the waistline up. The sweetheart neckline from the ruching ensures there's some breakup of the fabric, so your eyes aren't immediately drawn to the size of my chest. The sleeves are puffed, but not massive, so there is a decent balance of proportions. The linen is substantial - will be cool in the humidity, but isn't see-through, so I don't have to worry about a slip. I'm 5'6"/5'7", and the skirt falls right at my knees, so a nicely modest, midi-length dress. I've just washed the dress in cool water and hung to dry, and it does not appear to have shrunk or have lost any of the vibrancy of the color (which is gorgeous, by the way).
