You obviously have to wear something under it as it's crocheted. It's not the most comfortable material, but it is tolerable. Unfortunately, for shorter women, it just isn't very flattering. Other than that, it is well made, though, a bit expensive for what you receive in my opinion. It looks fantastic on the models here, but I would pass if you are height impaired.

This The Drop Melia Dress has a little style to it, but is still pretty conservative. It doesn't show much skin, The holes in the crochet are pretty small, so just a little shows through around the arms, shoulders, neckline and bottom. The slip has adjustable straps, and I am wearing it close to the V-neck of the dress. I'm 5'5", and the dress goes to a couple inches above my knees. I followed the size chart and ordered a medium, and it's a pretty good fit. It is a more relaxed than fitted look. For reference, I am a 36DD, 29-inch waist and 36-inch hips. The dress feels a little warmer than I thought it would. The slip is a nice thick T-shirt type feel, and then the crochet has some weight to it. I live in Florida, so I think it will be perfect for fall/winter here. I'm taking off a star because I've had to trim some strings that were sticking out which give it a little fuzzy look. I am hoping that the crochet stays looking nice and makes it through the season, but I'm a little worried about pilling. The attached slip is also a little annoying to keep straight when putting on, but I think it could be detached.

A great crochet dress! Surprisingly beautiful and comfy. I was worried about it looking kind of shapeless, but it's actually really flattering on me. The liner is high quality and fits well and stays in place--it entirely prevents the dress from being see-through in the body area, only showing a bit of skin around the sleeves and around the bottom of the dress. The dress is quite short on me, especially because the liner ends further up than the bottom of the dress. It makes me a bit worried about showing too much, so I've been wearing it with biker shorts or tights and that works for me. It can be machine washed, but I washed it on the gentlest cycle and laid it flat to dry because it seems like it could get out of shape if you're hard on it.

The media could not be loaded. This dress is of nice quality and has a lining, but it can feel a bit warm, so it might not be ideal for very hot days. However, the overall quality is great, it looks good, and it fits true to size. It fits well, and I’m happy with it despite the warmth.
