First of all, the manufacturers tried to make their watch band look simple to install and straightforward to use. Well, in my experience it wasn't. It would detach itself from its pins so easily that I was paranoid that my watch body would fall off and the crystal would break and my watch is a gorgeous looking watch!! Plus, it was gifted to me for my 50th birthday by my parents' friends and I didn't want it damaged or destroyed. I originally bought this watch band because it would breathe on my wrist and give my skin a break, plus it's made from a tough nylon like material, so hopefully it's durable!! Nowadays whenever I wear it, I'm so incredibly paranoid that it's going to fall off at any given moment!! I just wish Lady Luck would give me a break from my string of bad luck these past few years with EVERYTHING, including wearing watches!! ... show more

    • Great comfortable band- durability and reliability… maybe so so
First impressions- it’s a watch band. Snapped easily, was much more comfortable than the rubber band that came with the watch and I liked the look. So far (probably 3 months) durability appears will be okay. The black finish has already started to rub off on the band keepers and the hole that that the clasp pin goes through deformed and frayed right away (it has since stopped further blowing out so maybe no further wear will happen). If I get a full year out of it for the price it will be more than worth the price- what do you expect for just a few bucks that gets slapped on a thousand dollar active purposed watch. The only causation I’d give is the quick band change clasps. I ready many reviews says the just “pop” off- I wear mine 24-7 and work construction building cell phone towers and haven’t had any issues until last weekend I went cliff jumping and it popped off first jump as soon as I hit the water. Fortunately the oceans clear where I live and I just dove down and got it back, but it could have ended badly. That activity may be pushing the expectations to the limits, but still something the be cautious about especially with a watch intended for an active lifestyle. ... show more

Purchased my Garmin 3 HR in November 2017. To date, I've had to replace the band about 5-6 times. While I've found more cost effective replacement bands via Amazon, they all have the same issue ultimately that the band eventually breaks on one side and shortly thereafter the other side. None of the Fenix watches come with a nylon band except for the Enduro and Delta. Unfortunately my 3 HR works perfectly fine, so I can't really validate spending $800-1400 on a new watch (....yet lol). That said, I wanted to find a nylon band which should hopefully prove more durable over the long term and not need to be replaced every 6 months. Garmin only makes replacement bands in silicone, leather or metal. This band by Finite seemed to have great reviews and looks fairly durable. The package came with two screw drivers and the two parts to complete the band.. installation is just as simple as installing the OEM or 3rd Party silicone band. It does take a little more effort as you have to coerce the band holder on each end through the hole a little forcefully. Other than that easy peezy. Fits wells. Just as comfortable as the original. I do moving for work, run/cycle/walk in the rain , and do CrossFit as well as shower sometimes with the watch on, so it remains to be seen how it holds up considering moisture retention. I read a review which said it starts to smell, which makes sense unless they implemented some type of anti-stink into it as do alot of clothing lines. However at $10.99 I wouldn't count on it. I bought this because the OEM band was irritating my skin. It was easy to put on especially since it came with the tool to remove the original band. There has been no irritation allowing me to wear my watch while sleeping. Fraying has been minimal and I'm fully stifled with this purchase.
