  • A comprehensive overview of BMW motorcycles through the years.
Format: Hardcover
This book is a really comprehensive compendium of BMW motorcycles. The coverage of each model/variant/release isn't super in depth but as an overview of releases and changes year by year it offers a decent amount of overview information. There are numerous photos of various models year by year. I do wish there were multiple views of the bikes and more full page images but that would have made the book far too thick and likely far more expensive. As a chronological catalog of the brand's motorcycle releases throughout its history this is probably the best such book available. It pairs well with other books tell the story of the company and brand. This is the one to read when looking up a model's release and how it differs from previous models. Unfortunately the book arrived with some blemishes. The clear plastic wrap was torn along the top edge and the top edge of the book's dust jacket had a 5mm tear and fold. About half of the dust jacket corners and book cover corners had creases. Others might consider these minor blemishes but these damages keep the book from being mint or collectible condition. I'm giving 5 stars because I think the book itself is deserving of that rating even though my copy wasn't in pristine condition. ... show more

Typical of this series and this author. Outstanding text, photos, but most importantly sage analysis.
