  • Great resource!
I am not new to miniature saddles but this was my first English saddle set and im thrilled with the results. Fairly easy to follow along but as someone mentioned the pattern for skiver seat cover is missing but I just created my own based on the size of the tree/seat. The pattern in the book were not exactly to scale- they printed 1/4 in smaller than the legend. But you can scan and resize on a computer or just use the large traditional size template as "normal" size. Overall great reference! ... show more

This is a very helpful book. The only thing I found to be a problem was the color of the leather. To me, the photos were a bit too dark for me to see small details. I wish the leather had been lighter. Other than that, This book was great.

  • Worth buying!
I liked this book very much overall...some things could use some tweaking to make it more beginner-friendly for the first-time tack maker, and there are some pieces missing from the large pattern that will cause the user to need to wing it and make their own after re-reading and studying the other patterns, but as a whole it is a very useful book and I hope that this artist writes more instruction books like this on other types of saddles and tack, because I will definitely buy them! :) ... show more

  • I'm thrilled with the results!
I LOVE this book! The saddle on the right was my previous attempt at making an english saddle. The darker one on the left is the saddle I just completed using this book. I'm thrilled with the results! I can't wait to try some performance shows with my new tack.
