I’ve been facilitating workshops for over 30 years. I’ve read a lot of books on facilitation, training, etc. It would have saved me huge amounts of time, and effort if I had read “The 2-Hour Workshop Blueprint” by Leeanne Hughes years ago. This is probably the most concise, clearly written, and doable workshop content and facilitation guide that I have read. As I prepare to facilitate a new program this week, I’m reworking some of my content and process according to this book’s suggestion, and I will never start a program with “housekeeping,” slides again. ... show more

I've been a member of Leanne's booked-out group since 2021, and I recently attended her 2-Hour Workshop Blueprint session. Every time, I gain new knowledge and insights from her teachings! Naturally, I decided to purchase her book to continue learning. And let me tell you, it exceeded my expectations! One section I particularly enjoyed was the "helpful extras chapter." Whether you’re a seasoned facilitator, somewhere in your journey, or just starting out, this book is highly recommended! Leanne provides so many actionable takeaways. I felt like I was getting great “insider tips” while reading.     • I've been waiting for it!
Thank you Leanne, finally here in my hands! I've been following Leanne for some time now, I have to facilitate workshops, meetings every day and designing workshops takes time and a lot of mental energy to work out the best flow, the best activities, how to keep the people engaged. I have read a few pages and can already see it will be my go to book when specially for longer sessions. And yes I have a few+ unfinished kindle books but I can see this is one of those that will make it to the hall of 'book-finished' fame! ... show more

    • I needed this book very badly...
...for my upcoming workshop. Several excellent points, more time to prepare does not translate into a better presentation, there are many options to get from A to B ( analogy of car vs bike, vs scenic route etc), the "3 question sequence"...It's great to be reminded to not look stressed, flipping through your slides prior to the workshop and to greet each person as they enter and set the mood even prior to the workshop. What a perfect book for these times. Regardless of what business you are in, virtual meetings and webinars are only going to become common. This book gives you the "blueprint" for successful presentations. I loved that right off the bat; the author had a disclaimer about how much could be accomplished in 2-hours. That gives the rest of her message credibility. She begins with a "how-to guide" to using the book and then finishes up with several important extras (which are available via free download).
