These shelves work pretty well for the price you pay. The wood is really soft & easy to put the screws in. It does seem as though the wood may have shrunk because it was not the same width as the bracket. The shelves hold up well but the mounts are extremely narrow, which makes it very difficult to actually install. It requires either a very thin screwdriver or a tiny hand. I had to angle my screwdriver and inch the screw little by little to actually install the shelf and just gave up on the other two because I did not want to spend that much time on something that should be so simple ... show more

These shelves were easy to install and are pretty sturdy. They were a bit smaller than we expect, but we love them. I'd recommend installing them with the brackets under the wood (as opposed to sliding the wood through the brackets) to maximize space.
