What a fun, artsy project! The final result is better than I hoped for. The canvas, paints (35 colors!), and brushes were good quality. The painting looks so much like my photo, and not like a paint-by-numbers. Just be sure to paint ON the lines!

This Paint By Number was super fun and satisfying. I love that the canvas is on a frame with the hook available so your picture is ready to hang. I had plenty of clearly labeled paint, the two different size paint brushes were just right, and the included "map" with all the numbers and an included picture of my end result made it easy to problem solve. I felt like a real artist when I stood back and examined my work. I do love my dogs and the finished painting makes me absolutely giddy with happiness. The seller is very responsive to any questions or concerns. The response time was less than a day. The attached pictures are of the original photo, and the finished 16 x 20 painting. I've never done this before and I was not rushing. It took me 20-30 hours to complete. I did purchase an inexpensive art easel to make the painting process easier. *Revised March 2021. Just completed my 2nd Paint-by-number. I was not quite as impressed by my second one. I was disappointed by the washed out, muted colors that were included in this kit. I took this as an opportunity to get creative and use colors in different ways than the kit specified. The seller probably would have fixed it if I had contacted them. Instead I jumped right in trusting that it was more of a printing issue than a paint issue. No, it was indeed a paint issue. The colors just weren't as vibrant as I wanted. If you don't like the print, do yourself a favor and contact the seller right away before you invest hours of your time into the project.

The ONLY complaint I have is that there were several spots that were so small they didn’t have numbers, so you kinda just had to make an educated guess about what color to use. The colors they had for my husband’s face were also a little odd, so I did doctor that up some on my own. Also the side he’s on, the print was cut short before the end of the painting, which could have been my fault when placing the order. Who knows. The quality of the canvas itself is about that of one you would buy from Walmart. It wasn’t primed, so some spots you have to really lay on the paint. There were also some colors I was afraid I wasn’t going to have enough of but ended up being okay. Overall, I think it turned out really good, though. I will definitely be ordering more, and I’m sad this one is finished because I really enjoyed working on it. I gifted it to my husband, and he really likes it. It’s exciting watching the progress as you paint.
