    • Good for light hiking and versatile settings in town
I've been a fan of Tevas for years. I purchased both a Terra Fi Lite and an Original Universal this year as my old ones fell apart in Africa. The Terra Fi is good for more serious hiking situations - those are the ones I will probably take to the field where you really need strength and comfort combined. However, for a summer of light activities in Europe, the Original Universals were great. I wanted to have sandals that were comfy but could also be worn with a casual skirt, and in to the university for lab work without looking like I was in my "field clothes", but also would work for some moderate walks and hikes on the weekends. I was also moving between several locations so wanted to pack light. The Teva Original Universals were a great pick for this situation. I could wear them for the 1-mile walk to the Institute every morning and evening, and even if it rained they didn't look trashed. They looked reasonably respectable in the lab, and for social occastions I could pair them with a casual skirt and top without looking like I had Serious Clunker Footwear. Weekends I could wear them for half-day hikes with gentle slopes in perfect comfort. These are not your heavy duty hiking sandals (for that, get the Terra Fi Lite) but still an extremely useful, versatile shoe to have. ... show more

I have a bunion on my left foot and need adjustable Velcro straps to accommodate that. Teva sandals are also great to walk in. You can dress up or dress down. I use white in the summer for both. And it’s a true white not an off white. I have bought many pairs over the years from Amazon. No complaints ... show more

Love love love these shoes! They are super comfortable and i love that they are fully ajustable unlike other sandels. My only complaint would have to be, the plastic triangle that connects the toe strap to the strap that goes up your foot hurts my pinky toe. Its right one top of my toe and makes it slightly uncomfortable but it doesn't bother me to bad. Also a heads up ladies, if you have chunky feet/ankles like me the toe strap is wonderful, but the ankle strap wont fit completely across. Mine stopped about mid ankle. It still velcrows. But half of the velcrow shows since the strap just isnt quite long enough. I can still wear them comfortably and with no issues. Thats just a heads up if you want the pattern to go all the way around your ankle and no velcrow showing. ... show more

I went back and forth on what size to order I usually wear a 9.5 I finally decided to order a 9 based on other reviews I read. I'm so glad I did they fit perfect! I wanted these to go on light hikes and longer walks. After a little break in period they seem to be fitting perfect. The color is great and the straps are comfy they did rub on my little toes the first few times I wore them but they don't seem to do that anymore. I'm very happy with these sandals I would purchase them again I might even get another color just because. They are funky and retro but most important they have been very functional on the shorter hikes I have been on so far. ... show more

These are great sandals. I love the Teva name. The negative in buying these sandals is they are not white. They are a beige color. The fit is fine. The caption says they are white but they aren’t. They are yellowish color; beige.
