My one criticism is that the velcro on the straps does not extend far enough. I would prefer to tighten them down a bit but alas, no more velcro. I typically by wide shoes, so it is odd that I cannot tighten the straps enough. Maybe my feet will swell a bit in the summer, allowing a better fit. Otherwise these seem versatile comfortable and are very light.

The Zymic sandals seem to be a relatively new offering from Teva. The look, specifically the Z-straps, makes them very similar to the Chaco line of sandals. They are less adjustable and lighter, so they feel more like a standard Teva sandal. They are comfortable as everyday, casual sandals, and are most suited for that purpose. They can be used for basic hiking, but the tread isn't particular aggressive and I would recommend the Hurricane line for more serious hiking. 5/31/22 UPDATE: I'm going to update my review to five stars. I've had these for a month now and they've been solid. Comfortable, easy to keep clean, but what I've discovered is these solve the biggest issue I have with Teva sandals, there is no foot movement. With the usual design, my feet will tend to slide a bit, especially vertical, no matter how tight the straps are. This is annoying when going uphill or downhill. It has to do with the design of the straps, because it happens no matter what size I wear. With the Zymic, I don't know what Teva changed, but my feet are solid. Going uphill or downhill, there is no movement. I suspect it's due to the Z-strap design, along with a slightly stickier footbed. But these are now largely my everyday, casual sandals. I do hope these are successful enough Teva considers making a "Trail" variant with a more rugged Vibram sole. Because those would probably be my perfect hiking sandals. As with most Teva sandals, I would recommend going down 1-2 sizes. I normally wear size 10 shoes, but Teva sandals need to be sized down twice for me. I bought these in size 8 and they fit perfectly.

These sandals are very comfortable. The cushioning is amazing. My only disappointment is how quickly the tread on the soles wear out. I’ve only had them since July and most of the tread has worn away.

“Needed” a new pair of Tevas and these are nice and comfy. Soft support, good enough arch support for high arches (flat arches may be bothered???) good support in heel — toe walking etc.. Not ostentatiously gauche in color, unless you need that…..purple / orange etc… Would buy again this style diff color OR practically any other Tera (if “needed” - a very definable term) have had Tevas for like over 20 years and they don’t wear out, just in.

You can't wrong with Teva sandals. I own three different styles and a pair of flip flops and they are consistently more comfortable than the other major brands. Although Teva footwear is expensive, you get what you pay for I guess. I would recommend getting a size smaller than your shoe size, because most of their sandals run large.

Blew out my TerraFys, and got these to replace them. Granted, they are designed for different uses, but these are lighter, fewer rub spots and more secure on my feet. Soles are not as aggressive, but these are sandals after all, not hiking boots. I’ve worn them everyday since receiving them!
