I originally bought these for wearing to the pool on a cruise and some light walking around the ports. One of our excursions was supposed to be just a day of swimming in a cenote in Belize. It turned out to be a hike through the jungle and rock climbing through a series of water filled caves. I have rheumatoid arthritis and never would have made it out if I didn’t have these on my feet. Truly these were a life saver !

I love Teva sandals for outdoors activities when I know my feet will get wet. These seem well made and durable, and have worked great for going kayaking. I like that they provide good traction as I'm getting in and out of the kayak.

What's good about these is not only are they best made brand, but also very reliable. The same pair was bought spring 1989 and finally gave in a couple days ago. This same model arrived today, and the straps are slightly longer for us high-arched types. Definitely made for serious walking by people who spent quite some time thinking/planning this out. Keep it up!

I've proudly worn Teva sandals for the past 30 years. I usually get 10 years out of a pair. This pair provided 20 hours of use. The webbing of the straps used to go all the way through between the two layers of the sole at the heel and forefoot. That provided a lot of support and integrity to the whole design. Now, they are just gluing the straps to the inside edge instead of running it all the way through. Somebody in Quality Control didn't get the message that glue and water don't really work well together. And if you buy at Amazon, you will get charged for shipping back even if it is under their 1-year warranty. I'm now giving Chacos a whirl.
