I got this for my Tesla Model Y Juniper to do computer work or eat in my car. Rather than attach to the wheel like most trays do, this one rests on the armrests. It's great if your wheel is an odd size, but otherwise I would not choose this version over the type that hooks onto the steering wheel. First, you need to move your seat all the way back to install it. Second, it has two hinges and it bows slightly at each one. In other words, once you put any weight on it at all, the middle part hangs lower than the sides. Last, even though it folds, it's still really big to store. You can't slide it in the seat gap like others, and it is nowhere near fitting in the seat back pockets of my Tesla. I have to keep it in the trunk, which is not very convenient. Overall it's decent, but I'm going back to my old basic one that hooks onto the wheel.

Quite useful! I used this in my Tesla 3 and my fiance’s Tesla Y. It's a solid plastic material and fits perfectly for both and it’s quite convenient. I don’t work in the car often so I can’t really comment on that, but I got this mainly for our roadtrips when we end up eating sometimes in the car and let me tell you - having a flat, stable surface makes such a difference, especially for foods that need dipping or can easily spill (like fries with ketchup). After we’re done using it, we just folded it and put it back in the bag that it came with. It's not something that would be touched everyday, but it's super lightweight, compact, convenient, and easy to store to this is a good value thing to have.

cheap plastic. too big for driver side. does not fit. not worth 40$. metal laptop stand misleading and no instructions on how to assemble. you basically put the individual metal laptop stands on your laptop and this can actually damage your laptop. not even amazon AI can figure how to attach the metal laptop stands. this product should be at least 20$ not 40$ i will return this product considering this is not a good quality material.

Honestly I’d say this car desk is actually pretty useful, especially for my Tesla Model 3 when im trying to eat lol. The fit is good, the size works well, and it gives you a pretty solid space for eating, or using a laptop while you’re sitting in the car charging or waiting around. It’s one of those things that’s a simple idea, but definitely nice to have once you use it. The material does feel like plastic and not super premium, so it’s not one of those products that immediately feels high-end when you pick it up. That said, it still feels sturdy enough to actually do the job. It holds a laptop or food without feeling flimsy, and it stays pretty flat without a ton of wobble. To work you open it up and it rests on the arm of the door and the console so I have to put my chair all the way down which is annoying. Biggest downside for me is that it really seems more practical in the passenger seat. In the driver’s seat, I had to move the seat way back and adjust the steering wheel a lot to make it work which is super annoying. It’s also a little bulky to store. I was hoping it would fold down smaller, but because of the hinge design there’s still a decent gap when folded, so it ends up taking up more space than it probably needs to. Overall though, I still think it’s a good buy. It may not feel super fancy, but it’s sturdy where it counts, fits the Model 3 well, and is genuinely useful and versatile. I just wish it folded down a little smaller and was a little bit more adjustable and easier to use from the driver’s seat.
