  • Great for Beginners I Like my A6
Style: A6
TENSSENX GPS Drone I am satisfied with this begginner drone. I wanted something, to see the tech in action for myself. A6 worked well at a company picnic. 3rd time flying it was at the picnic and it seemed like i knew how to fly. I need to go to a field and practice more 4th time :). Great video keep people away for at least 3 feet. keep it high 6' 8" or above. I like beginner mode I still have it. :) I did crash into the house and and had to grab it in the middle of people, I am still unfamiliar with product. I want a fishing drone as my next toy :), this one a light breeze was moving drone around in a 1 foot radius , keep away from people, when starting out. I receommend for starter only. I need to find a replacement batter 15 to 20 minute flight time then the audible alarm sounds. Can you help me? ... show more

  • Good beginner drone for the family
Style: X7
Our whole family enjoys playing with and flying this drone. It comes with a great protective case, is easy to care for and easy to charge. It comes with 2 batteries for extra useable. The camera is great. Really clear nice photos and video. I was surprised at how good the image quality was for a drone in this price range. It also has a number of great features like auto return, follow me, automatic take off and land, flight path and altitude hold. The auto take off and landing are particularly helpful, especially for inexperienced drone users. A few things to be aware of. It is ultra light and is easily affected by the wind. The battery life was average, about 10-15 minutes of fly time per battery. And although it has a number of great features, some of them are a little tricky to actually get to work well. But overall its a nice little drone for the family. ... show more

  • Good for starter drone, but returned it
Style: A6
The media could not be loaded. Not a bad drone for $120 BUT I just upgraded to a $340 DJI mini 2 and it’s night and day difference. The technology for the name brand $340 drone is 10x better and 10x more reliable, worth it in my opinion. I’ve learned the technology matters BIG TIME in drones and you NEED IT to return home. The TRSC does have trouble staying in one place with no controller input, it wanders around most of the time with zero wind inside, and it jerks around in 2 mph wind. Just stay 20ft away from anything and you’ll be fine. Range is also why I returned it, it can only make it about 2 houses away while the $340 DJI goes 2.5 miles. Last time I used the TRSC it just randomly lost all movement from controller other than up and down and that was the last straw. The GPS return home function works, but sometimes it will land in the correct spot, sometimes it will land randomly 15ft away. One of the motors also seemed to have a tight spot which started making a tapping sound after just 2 flights. Camera is there, but without a gimbal camera, it’s a very shaky and low quality video. --You aren’t using this drone for any real estate photography! — Build quality is also what you’d expect at $120. But overall it is worth the price and great for a starter drone for beginner adults or kids that you’ll eventually replace for something better if you want it for any other purpose than to just look at it fly around your yard. ... show more

  • Good affordable drone for some outdoor fun.
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this drone a few weeks ago and have been playing with it and getting the hang of it. I've been wanting to get into drones for a while but haven't had the chance until more recently. Took it out to a friend's place to play with and it's pretty sweet. I'll rate the drone on a few different categories and then give my final ranking. The attached video is a few clips spliced together: some of me recording the drone in flight, and some from the drone while flying. Picture is of some friends, faces blacked out for privacy. FUNCTIONALITY: 4.5/5 stars The drone has a built-in HD camera and it uses a local wifi network (created by the drone, no internet access) to pair your smartphone and the drone. The controller has a little stand you can put your phone into, and I have a pretty large phone and it fit just fine, which was awesome. The phone screen shows you various controls on the drone and, of course, the camera. I don't have a VR set but it would be really neat to get a VR headset, put the phone in it, and fly the drone around to get a first-person view whilst flying it. The camera does not have audio (that I can find), so the recordings are just video. It can also take pictures as well. It occasionally took the clicking of a few buttons on the controller to get the phone and drone paired, and sometimes they would get disconnected (I think if I flew the drone too far), so that was a little annoying, but not a huge issue as it was pretty easy to get reconnected. We used the drone to even herd some cows and it worked great! EASE OF USE: 5/5 Very easy to use. The controls are straightforward: the left joystick makes the drone go up or down, or rotates it on its axis so the camera can face a different direction. The right joystick makes the drone actually go back/forward/right/left. There are a few hidden controls (discussed in the manual) like "point both joysticks diagonally and inward/toward yourself to take off." Just read the manual, it explains it fairly well. The only issue I had was that I made the mistake of flying the drone on a pretty windy day. That meant that sometimes even if I was going full throttle forward, if I was going against the wind, the drone would be stationary or even flying backwards. A friend got the drone caught in a tree once due to the wind (although we got it down without an issue). I'd recommend flying it in the kind of weather that would be bad for a kite: that is, little to no wind. BATTERY: 4/5 The battery is the weakest part of the design. I don't recall how long it is rated for, but each battery probably only lasts about 30 minutes if you are pushing the drone non-stop. Not sure how much actively recording while flying contributes to that since the camera is always on anyways. I did charge the battery for a long time and waited until the little charge indicator light went from red to green (a nice touch, by the way) before using it so I know it was fully charged. However, the drone set does come with TWO batteries, so even though they die fairly quickly, you can just swap the new one in and get back into the air. Both batteries have USB C ports, so you can plug a charge directly into them and charge them conveniently and quickly. No proprietary adapter needed. The phone view will also show you how much battery life is left (1–4 bars and then the battery goes red at the end), and if the battery is too low, the drone will refuse to fly over like a foot off the ground. This is a good safety feature because you don't want the drone to die at like 40 feet in the air! I wish the batteries lasted longer, but I also know this is a light drone that can't be weighed down too much or it won't be very maneuverable, and I appreciate that they make up for the short battery life by providing multiple. DURABILITY: 5/5 I crashed this thing into a few trees, got it stuck in some branches, and accidentally flipped it a few times on the ground—and it never had any issues. If you're less lucky, however, it does come with some replacement blades if they get damaged. That's the other advantage of it being a lighter device: it doesn't get hurt as much when you crash it. OVERALL RATING: 5/5 - I really enjoy playing with this drone. It's a cool device, pretty safe to use (the blades didn't hurt my hand when I accidentally grabbed them while it was on), was a pretty low-cost investment for something I can use for a while, and while there are certainly very expensive drones out there that might be a lot better, I think this is a 5 star product because of the lower price point it's at. ... show more
