I don't know if they're leather or not (or cow hide or beef tendon as the description says, lol), but this is the softest shoe I've ever had, ever, ever. So soft, so flexible they don't aggravate any of my toes. I might pick up some inserts though as I need a bit more padding in the sole but likely for everyone else, the shoe will be just fine. So far, absolutely worth it. I love them. They're cute, easy to get on and off, no slipping or rubbing, I can spread my toes out, and they're affordable. Even with my preference for more padding in the sole, I absolutely recommend these! I elected not to provide a rating on support because they're clearly not designed to force your foot to conform to a structure, but rather allow your natural foot to do its natural thing. ... show more

When I first received these shoes, I didn't know if I would like them. Eventually I tried them on and didn't want to take them off. They are very soft. I wished they came in Navy because I would order this style again. I also ordered the other style, the Beef Tendon Flat Loafer, in brown, same size but they were slightly larger. I'm going to give that pair to my neighbor. I think they will fit her. Regardless, they are definitely worth ordering again because I just can't believe how comfortable they are and how sporty they look.
