This suit is very well made, the swim material is a thicker fabric with mesh inserts in both the top and bottoms. The top is a halter and ties at the neck, is lined and padded and has a clasp in the back. I love how the bottoms fit. The bottoms have gathered seams on the sides making them very figure flattering. I LOVE THIS SUIT! I am 40 years old and a size 18. I'm past my prime, but I still want a suit that makes me feel good on the beach. While I'm not afraid to show some skin, I do like some coverage. But, I don't like to feel like I'm wearing "an old lady bathing suit." I think this is a nice bathing suit that doesn't make me feel matronly, while also helping to minimize my flaws. The suit is very supportive and the high waist covers my belly button, which I find very flattering. I think the top does a service to the girls, and they feel secure in there. It's a cute suit but it feels a little small. It's not too small that I'd need to go a size up - that would be too big. It may be just a fit preference.
