  • No space under board for anything but THEIR power supply!
I spent a LOT of money on a whole new pedalboard setup, using the Temple Audio board and pedal plates. I bought them from a well known sweet music dealer on the internet. I am writing this to get the word out that these products simply aren't worth the money. These boards are designed to be so low to the ground that there is no clearance for ANY common power supply such as VooDoo and Wampler. They just don't have the clearance for the supply to fit under the board. Guess what's the ONLY P/S that WILL fit? The one they sell! The CIOK. But even then due to the low clearance, the power supply must fit right up against the pedal floor, thus obliterating huge amounts of real estate on the top of the board. The reason for this is the pedal plates attach from the back of the board with little thumbscrews. Slap a decent sized power supply which usually measures 6 x 4 inches and there goes 24 square inches of your board space. That's room for THREE 2" x 4" pedals!!! All they would have to do is make the back of the board another 2" taller and then the P/S could attach lower and allow clearance for the thumbscrews so you could use the whole board. I wouldn't recommend either the pedalboard OR the pedal plates. The adhesive on the bottom of the pedal plates of all sizes won't stay on. I have never used my board in heat or had it outside of my bedroom. In order to run the vacuum and also just have more floor space, I propped the board up against a bookcase. About a week later, I had pedals hanging by the wires. For the price, this is TOTALLY unacceptable! When you are traveling with a pedalboard in a case, it might get - in fact probably WILL get put up on its side. When you get to the destination, the Temple Audio board will be a complete JUMBLE! Don't buy it! It's a great idea all the way around but poorly and cheaply executed. They are out to make a quick buck. My workaround was to use zip ties around the body of the pedal. It allows the pedal to twist a little bit, but at least it stays on the dang board! ... show more
