  • The only way to go.

Everything you need right there. Far superior than the flat layout with pins sticking up. Make a quick bracket to hang off of the end on a near by tool box. Cut set up time considerably. Great quality unlike the Imports.

  • Teco is superior to import sets.
Number of Items: 1
Do youself a favor and buy this set, do NOT try to save 20 bucks and buy an import set. The import sets suck so freaking bad. I know, I have an import set and I've seen others import sets. This teco set is made in USA, except for the rack, the rack gets bad reviews but I don't know why, it's really good plastic and it's made well. The difference between this set and the 200 dollar teco set is not the blocks as so many ignorant people often say, the blocks are the same, the difference is the studs. 1541 vs 4340 chromolly and flats machined on the 4340 also. Other than that and the metal rack it's all the same. Same straps, same blocks, same tnuts, same nuts, different studs and rack. Your not gonna break these studs though, you'll screw up your table torquing before you bust these 1541 studs. That the same material in the rear axle shafts on my Jeep by the way. This set is superior to any import set and the price is only like 20 to 30 bucks more. You will have pride using these and be glad you bought them. If you go import to save a buck you'll hide them and be ashamed of them. The import ones look nasty, and not a good nasty like Mrs. Jackson either. I have an import set I bought to use with my mini mill about 15 years ago and they are gross. When I bought a bigger set for my Bridgeport I bought this Teco set and I am so happy I did, these things are nice. Very well made and a joy to use. Some import stuff is ok, but not a clamp set, they suck. ... show more

  • not as expected

TE-CO has been used in my shop for years, BUT I ordered this set for my home shop and when it arrived items were missing. The 1/2-13 coupling nuts and t-slot cleaner missing and one of the 5" studs was only threaded on end. If you read the description these are suppose to be included with this kit. I contacted TE-CO and they told me sorry and for me to contact Amazon. I informed the young lady that whomever is packing these kits is doing a great job ( NOT ). Amazon informed me they would send another kit and for me to take out what is missing and return the new kit back to Amazon. Waiting on replacement kit. I have a feeling that TE-CO messed up the description. ... show more

  • USA made, Plastic Holder, but as the TITLE SAYS, "PROMO"
Number of Items: 1
Step Blocks are true 90 degrees square. Import Brands are not square ground. They are ground at a slight degree from being a true 90 degrees. Which causes the hold down brackets to have more pressure on one corner leaving marks on your products. Best buy on the market for USA. Messed around with the Chin'e brands, and the chine t-nuts allow the studs to be screwed into your table, Te-co's are bottom tapped, and stops so your hold down bolts, won't mess up your table. Another interesting point is the slots in the hold down bars, on chinese whether 7/16-1/2 inch, the slots are milled out to large. Te-co are milled to tolerance, for even distribution positioning. The plastic holder is marked USA made. It is thick plastic, but as"the title says" "PROMO Kit". Which means Promotional/introductory into a USA made set for a lesser price. If you want the steel holder, pay the extra money for the Higher Priced Te-co sets. I have mine placed on a shelf, so it doesn't bother me. I have ordered two sets of chinese knockoffs, and ended up returning them because of poor quality. Spend and extra $25.00, and got a really nice set. Very happy now. ... show more

  • Great value, solid construction
Number of Items: 1
I just got this set yesterday, looked it over, but haven't used it. This set fits the 5/8" slots on my Grizzly G1007 round column RongFu clone mill beautifully. The finish is slightly rough, but only visually. All the threads operate smoothly, and the working faces are all uniform. The T-slot anchors are not tapped all the way through, which is correct. The studs do not have milled flats. I don't mind that- they're not bolts that should be heavily torqued. The step blocks are US manufactured from powdered metal, and seem clean and uniform. They have a slightly sharp burr on the sides, where the molds parted. This is not on the operating faces, but I'll probably hit it on a sander for the sake of my fingers. They are as dimensionally accurate as my cheap digital calipers- 0.000" difference from one set to the next. The plastic holder is made in Taiwan. It looks as though it will serve well as a bench organizer, but I won't be hanging it on the wall. The bolts have zero rust, and are clean and well oiled. The step blocks could use some oil, but still no rust. This is a great middle ground between China junk and first-quality pricing. Not so pretty, but smoothly functional. ... show more

  • Way above the quality of the cheap import sets and still made in America
Number of Items: 1
This is the second set of these that I have bought. The first set were about 23 years ago and they are still a delight to use. The new set is still made in America and is of the same excellent quality. I was surprised that one reviewer was disappointed because the t-nuts are not tapped all the way through. Of course they aren't! These are for machinists. Machinists need the studs to only thread to the ideal depth and no further. Besides being faster, they understand that if the stud is poking through the bottom of the T-nut and hitting the bottom of the T-slot and gets over-torqued it can break their mill table. But even if that disaster never occurs, you would still be messing up the end of the stud and your clamping would be off perpendicular and shoddy. ... show more
