I got this for my dad, who doesn’t really need anything top of the line. I set it up for him and played around with it some. It’s very snappy. I have an iPhone 13 pro, and it’s honestly just as fast with every day tasks. Browsing the web, watching video, texting, making calls etc. obviously it will fall behind when playing the latest games and the cameras aren’t quite as good but you can’t really expect that much at this price. The cameras are actually pretty good quality and the screen is decent too. Although it is harder to read and dims at an angle, it is a good quality lcd display. I paid $199 after a coupon. And I feel like for what you get that’s a good deal. Mid range snapdragon, 6gb Ram, 256gb of storage, fingerprint sensor, face unlock, good cameras, nice big battery. Not much else you actually need. I can’t speak to how this phone will be over time. And I also wish it had some water resistance, which I don’t think it does. But for now it’s great. This is a fabulous phone. Has wifi calling, NFC. Quick charge with the battery really works well. It has a built-in compass, barometer, altimeter - just turn on location. It has a storage area that is password protected; put a photo of your passport and license and credit cards in there. It is plenty fast for browsing, email, texts. Look at the memory and storage - you get way more than other competitors. Calls, some browsing, emails, texts...the battery will last all day. The phone comes with a case, and a screen protector already adhered. The cameras are wonderful. The price to quality ratio - nothing approaches the TCL 10L. ... show more

    • Good budget phone
I've used this as my main phone for almost two years now. It's been fine for basic photos and calling and texting. I use it to download my go pro videos so having expandable storage was a must for me. Sadly it is not wanting to charge reliably anymore. Requires me to shift the charger around to get it to recognize and the battery drains crazy fast. Probably because the brightest has to be all the way up to be able to see anything on the screen in daylight. Overall a good phone though. I love the fingerprint reader on the back. Sad new phones don't use it as it works way more reliably than a in screen one. I'm upgrading to the 20 pro so we'll see how that goes. ... show more

    • Per manufacturer, VoLTE doesn't work due to a known issue and it will be months before it's fixed
I bought this phone 2 weeks ago and have spent hours (at least 6) since then working with my cell service to try to get it to successfully be able to make and receive calls. Our problem was that we couldn't turn on VoLTE; they turned it on from their side, but the phone's interface had no option to enable it on the phone. Troubleshooted for hours, waited for a new SIM to be shipped out, troubleshooted for hours again, etc., reached out to TCL support and waited for days for a reply, then saw that the seller here is also TCL so reached out to the seller and heard back within a day... And they said that this phone and VoLTE have compatibility problems that their engineers are working hard to solve but will take 1-2 months. They offered a refund, and I will absolutely be returning this, but also wanted to let everyone else know to save your time & effort. I'd contact the seller and confirm that this problem has been fixed before even thinking about ordering this phone. After the AT&T 3G shutdown, VoLTE is practically required for any GSMA service.     • Quite impressed with the TCL 10l!
I wanted to wait about 10 months before giving my opinion on the TCL 10L phone. I've never moved away from Samsung, so I took a calculated risk, and boy I was happy I did. This was the first time I decided to give a TCL phone a try. I have their TV and also purchased their mesh wifi router. I can safely say that I will not longer go back to Samsung. This phone exceeds my expectations when factoring the cost. I have had no issues with the phone, I did purchase the extra warranty, just in case. The only thing I'd like to see TCL do with their line of phones is upgrading the glass. It would be worth it to me to spend a little extra for that upgrade. The battery life is pretty good. I run several messaging apps, productive apps and even play a few games. With that said, it last from when I get up in the morning until I go to bed. The overall speed of the phone exceeded my expectations. Everything is still snappy even after everything I installed on it. I'm such a fan of their phones, that since I purchased mine, I got my sister and close friend to buy the TCL 10L. My mother needed to replace her Samsung, so I went with the newer TCL 30 SE. It's coming to the point where I might move up to a newer model, the TCL 30XL looks fantastic! The specs to price ratio are phenomenal! I don't think I could have made a better choice last April 2022. TCL is definitely making them a name for themselves outside of the TV market. I'm really happy to see that happen. If you're on the fence about trying out a lesser known brand phone. I can say wholeheartedly state you're getting more than what you're paying for.     • Stunningly good value for the money
I needed a new phone that would do calls, text, emails and basic web browsing, YouTube, music, etc (no gaming). I also wanted a decent camera and did not want to shell out $500+ for a phone (keeping less than $300 is a huge bonus!). I was skeptical when I found this one. Wow am I surprised how awesome this phone is! It has tons of storage, all of my Google and OneDrive apps work amazingly well and the camera is really good too. Seems to have a great processor, it keeps up with what I need. It's a great size too, fits perfectly in my hand.
