My friend just opened a barber shop recently. I bought this as part of opening gift to her. This is a very nice jar with anti slip bottom. Has a nice weight to it and is of thick glass, so no worries there. I wish this jar was a little taller than wider so make sure you look at the dimensions closely before buying it. Overall great purchase! Recommended.

I have used several (including the actual barbicide jar). None were tall enough for long combs to fit inside completely. But this one IS! Very nice jar and was packaged well.

We’ve been going the DIY route in the haircutting and styling for quite some time now. This glass disinfectant jar, which is quite similar to the ones I see in our barbershop, is larger than most and holds approximately 42 ounces of disinfectant. The smaller bottles of 70% isopropyl alcohol tend to come in 16-ounce bottles so adding a couple of those should be easy. There are no fluid ounce lines on this canister, but doing it by eye shouldn’t be difficult. The jar is made of borosilicate, a glass I’ve encounter in water bottles in the past. It tends to be a bit more solid that a lot of glass and can tolerate a wider temperature range. Like any glass it will probably break if dropped though. It has a silicone sleeve on the bottom that can be removed. The sleeve will keep the jar from sliding on a counter. It’s very easy to remove. The top of the water basket is stainless and is solid. It’s easy to pull out and put back in after sterilizing items. Anything from scissors to combs, and blades can be placed in the stainless basket. I like several things about this canister, especially the large capacity and the fact that they use borosilicate glass. The addition of the metal knob on the top as opposed to plastic is also a plus.
