I use one for every 2 cigarettes. When I tried using the same filter on my 3rd cigarette, it tasted stale. They do catch alot of tar and in the 2 days I've been using them, I haven't been coughing up as much phlegm as before so I guess they're working somewhat. The photo of the napkin shows the difference between using the filter and not using it. The 2 lighter marks are from when I had the filter on my cigarette and the darker ones are without the filter. The proof is clear to see. When it comes to smoking, of course it's not good for you at all but at least with using these, it's not as bad. I'm sure there are other more expensive brands that work better but for the price of these, the value is great! I would recommend to others and would buy again!     • Too hard to draw, but...

These are too hard to draw in my opinion. I've had the same problem with other brands though. BUT, if you dont mind spending a little time you can make the holes larger and easier to draw. The fact that these are 4 hole filters makes that even easier. Using a small diameter rod or dowel that fits in the mouthpiece end, I pop the yellow filter part out, then hold that down against a piece of Styrofoam on a counter or desk surface and run a needle through all four holes. Then drop the yellow filter piece back in, in the correct direction, and use a larger rod or dowel that fits the cigarette end to push it back in place. I just happened to have a sewing machine needle that is a good size to ream the holes out a little. Holding the pieces down against Styrofoam allows a soft space for the needle to pass through and a stable surface to push against. I just timed myself doing 10 and it took me 6-1/2 minutes. So its a bit tedious but makes these much more easy to draw and they still collect visible tar. Still only good for two unfiltered hand rolled cigarettes though, which is all I need...I only smoke two an evening. I'm less concerned about the tar removal but at least its better than nothing on that. I like these tips so my fingers arent actually on the cigarette as well as my lips. Hand rolled unfiltered cigs get tobacco in your mouth. But, saves me a LOT of money. Also for people who are finding the yellow parts fallen out of the clear parts, they just snap back in. I enjoy smoking cigarettes and have been smoking for over 25 years now, but i want to stop. Its a process but i have to say trying these filters out has put me on that path. Once you see the amount of tar built up in these tips, for me psychologicaly i was like holy crap. All that tar after the regular filter. I do feel a diffrence opposed to when icwas not using these. Its only been a week or so but my taste and smell seems to be a bit better, also no more stinky cig fingers and the cigarette smell is not as bad. It is like smoking an ultra light but once you see the tar its trapping i feel its a good compromise and every now and then just smoke one without these filters. ... show more

These filters work great. I have used many many brands. Paid much more for some if not all. These are the best and the price couldn't be better. Each filter in the photo had been used for 2 cigarettes.

I have bought these filters before and they work very well. I have noticed that in every package some of the filters come cracked and so they are useless but other than that I would recommend buying them.

Product arrived on time and works well as described it deserves 5 stars. Giving it 4 stars because of poor quality control the product bag was not sealed causing some of the filters to spill into the mailing package and my order is 24 filters short.

It collects ALOT of tar even after one cigarette. I use it a few times, maybe 3 times at the most, and it is CAKED tar in there! I tried another brand that had 6 or 8 really small holes and it would take 5 or 6 cigarettes before it built up how these do after 2 cigarettes. These have 4 little bit larger holes.
