We all have funny stories to tell in the HTM (Healthcare Technology Management), biomedical engineering, or clinical engineering field. We share them with our friends at lunch and conferences all over the world. With over forty years in the field, I have my share of stories and have heard many others. I decided it was time to share those stories with everyone (even those outside our field), so I published a book on Amazon in December 2017 titled Tales of the Biomed. The book was promoted at the MDExpo in Seattle in 2018 with a short video promoting the new book. I got lots of great feedback from my friends and colleagues on that video. Our good friends at TechNation and AAMI, in the AAMI News, also helped give me free press on my books. The book was a big success and only led to more stories from my friends in the field. I decided we must publish those new stories and new funny pictures in this new book, Tales of the Biomed Part Deux. I also knew to get more surprising stories I needed to get the word out to as many people as possible, so I created a website which allowed people to see examples of stories and funny pictures. The site would help them to recall their funny stories and collect photographs and have an outlet to send them in for the new book. Read more
