The shoes are completely without insulation and have almost no padding. Working retail, I had shoes similar to this. That's where I'm not sure if I like them or not... They change how you walk for the better, but you'll instantly feel the cold or, if you're like me and work retail, you'll feel anything you drop on a toe way more than you would expect. I took a bit to feel the shoes out and all that, and I honestly think it's a good set of shoes, just add some padding if you have sensitive feet and expect to need some time to adjust. I hated them at first, but kind of like them; the only thing I can't comment on is the durability. If they last a few months, the 4 stars are deserved.
