Our 8 month old has an obsession with tags, the bigger the better. Plus she likes her crinkly soft books and loves ducklings, so I thought the Crinkle with Dipsy Duck would be perfect for her. It is as adorable as it is pictured online, the duck is soft, the fabric is washcloth like on one side, and soft where the duck is, very stimulating for a baby, especially with the nice crinkle sounds and quack sound when you press on the duck. After gentle hand wash cleaning when it arrived or daughter started playing with it and really enjoyed it. However, she spent nearly all her time on the only real tag that thing has and pretty much ignored the other tags - can't fool her ;-) I attached it to the stroller when we went to the pediatrician and wanted to clean it thoroughly once we were home. Great, washing instructions say "wash cold. Gentle cycle." So I did - and it did not survive it. Both the quack and crinkle seem to be kind of attached in one big mess inside now, no more quack or crinkle sound coming out and the whole thing seems deformed. I don't understand it. Why give washing instructions like that when it is not made to survive the washing machine. If it would have hand wash instructions on there, I'd probably give it 4 stars and be quite happy with it. But the instructions are there and so it is false description of the product. 2 stars for cuteness and easy return. ... show more

I purchased this toy for my 4 month old, knowing that she likes soft, cuddly toys. I thought this would be more of a floppy/soft type of toy but it's extremely stiff inside. It just retains it's square shape, and definitely isn't something a baby would hold onto and cuddle. It's kind of just stiff and awkward when I hung it from the clip onto her floor gym. I will say the quality seems very nice. It's sturdy and seems to be well-made. It just wasn't what I was expecting, and so I ended up returning it. ... show more

I bought this toy after reading a blog about best toys for 6 month olds. Taggies toys were recommended by the author because her baby (and many others apparently) loves to play with tags. I chose the giraffe and it is very cute. I use the ring to attach it to a ring on my son's walker. He loves the crinkling sound but is unmoved by the tags, losing interest fast. I love the squeaker in the middle (didn't realise it had that when I made the purchase) but the position in the middle, inside the toy, means that my 6 month old can not manipulate it because he doesn't know that it's there. ... show more

This is cute and has a few textures and a squeak that adult has to do, too hard for baby, and baby does try to grasp it, but it always seems to turn it to the plain side... wish it had characters and interest on both sides... and it is a little stiff with crinkle so does not fold in baby's hands very easily for mouthing. If your baby likes loud crinkling, this may suit though and it does at least have a ring to attach to carseat. And perhaps when baby is bigger it will hold more interest. Probably relegate to car for now. Would not buy another. Recommend instead a soft book like Tiny Seed or Farmer's Market 123 book. ... show more

My 8 month old son loves chewing on tags or straps- tags on pillows, on clothing, on blankets, backpacks, airplane seatbelts (ew!!), etc. I got him this to try to get him to stop sticking gross tags in his mouth and it seems to work. He loves the crinkling sound and the internal squeaker cracks him up. I put it in the washing machine as soon as I got it and the colors were just as vibrant. ... show more

This is such a cute, excellent toy that any baby would love to crinkle and chew on!!! It’s really well made. I just wish it didn’t have the squeaky toy inside....squeaky toys tend to get mold growth inside because once water or spit gets in it, it can’t get out! And this thing is no exception! And you want to wash it before you give it to baby, straight out of the package....so there’s already going to be moisture in it.... Now I need to make a hole, take the squeaky toy out, and sew it back.... ... show more

My son LOVES this little taggy crinkle square! The colors, patterns, and tags fascinate him, he chews on the tags and loves running his hands over the extremely cute giraffe on the front. He chews, drools, and pulls on it, and it still looks brand new. It is very well made, and a fantastic price. I like it better than those taggy blankets for him, this keeps his interest 95% more. He can play with it separately, or I can attach it to rings and take it along with us when we go out. I purchased it when he was 3 months, and at 5 months he still loves it.
