We got this item when my baby was around 4 months. She is now about 6 months. It has been great for this stage of tummy time as it is making her torso go a little higher off the ground and encourages her arms to go in front of her and palms on the floor. I believe this item will help her crawl!

Could be a little more sturdy but it does it’s job. Helps keep the arms out in front rather than behind at his sides. My husband and I call this look the Peter Pan. Lol

My baby HATED tummy time from the very beginning. We tried everything from getting on her level to cheer her on, using a mirror for her to look at, etc. This pillow helped so much! It got her comfortable with being on her tummy, then eventually got used to being on her tummy without it!

Wow! We love this pillow. Purchased for my 3 month old who HATED tummy time and refused to lift her head. I don’t know why but she doesn’t cry at all when we place her on it for tummy time. She also raises her head and it works especially well when we have a colorful toy or book in front of her to look at. Definitely worth trying if your little one hates tummy time and hasn’t been lifting his/her head. ... show more

I bought this to try to make tummy time a little kinder on my tummy time hater. It’s wonderful! It gives her the perfect angle to look around and she’ll actually tolerate tummy time now! She still doesn’t tolerate it for long, but any tummy time is better than no tummy time. I also love the little cutouts for her arms - she likes to do the “penguin” move during tummy time where she pulls her arms back towards her sides and then can’t figure out why it’s not working, so this is very helpful at reminding/making her keep her arms forward and under her when she’s on her tummy! I’m so pleased with the results! I also use it as a wedge pillow under her head when I’m changing her diaper on the floor. She seems to find it quite comfortable. ... show more

My daughter hates tummy time. I’m not sure if there are any cons to using a pillow to assist her, so we split the time half on the pillow and half off the pillow. It has made tummy time a little more enjoyable for her. I’m also seeing some progress. I’ll update as more time goes on. ***UPDATE*** This thing is awesome. After a few days I saw some improvement and it definitely helped make it a little more enjoyable for her. After about a week or two, she lifted her head and kept it up (while using the pillow) completely without any help at all! A few days later she was able to do the same without the pillow! Its a nice little pillow. Is it necessary, no. I wish it was just a little bit bigger and had a little more stuffing. Otherwise, its cute and we try and use it during tummy time.
