My family loves this game. Yields lots of laughter. Easy to learn. You deal out all cards so everyone has a stack. You start with the youngest player (ours is 8) and flip over the card in the middle pile while saying the first word of the game "Taco" regardless of what the card flipped over says. Play continues to the next person doing the same but saying the 2nd word "Cat" regardless of what the card actually says. Play continues around same way saying the next words "Goat", "Cheese", "Pizza" - once you get to Pizza it continues back to the top "Cat"...etc. as the center pile grows. If while throwing down a card and you say those words (in order....players can't mess up the order) and what you say matches your card ex. "Cat" the last person to slap the pile takes the pile. Similar to that of "spoons" game. There are "special" cards in the deck that if laid down/seen everyone has to do what that card calls for (explained in the directions) then slap the pile, last person to slap or perform the move incorrectly takes the center pile. Also, no flinching or you take the pile. Say the wrong thing (out of the order of taco, cat, goat, cheese, pizza) you take the pile. It's a fun game. I think the instructions show alternate ways to play or other rules to add in if you want something more challenging. Don't be fooled saying the words in order trying to keep your brain from saying what's on the card and remembering what word you are on when it comes your turn is pretty challenging. ... show more

Super fun game. I got this for easter for my family and it was a great game and funny as well. My son had a little bit of trouble remembering the order that is was supposed to go in but he is also younger than the age it says. Other than that he did great playing too!

This is the 3rd version of this game our family has bought. We love the simple but fun game play. It is good for all ages. In our house we have a 5 year old and a 50 year old and everything in between. It is a twist on slapjack. The reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because the animations on the cards are all egg shaped making it harder to tell the difference.
