Like most product I buy these days, I had to modify it, but that was expected. I had priced out buying PVC pipe to make my own floatie holder (want to get floaties off the concrete at our inground pool, because anything touching the ground collects leaves and other debris, making it difficult to clean with a leaf blower), but the prices were higher than this product, and would require more cutting. The "dividers" are meant for thin 99 cent kiddie floaties, not the large "river type tubes" or other large floaties for adults. I cut a few of the pipes down to about 2 inches and placed them in the middle "holes" to make the thing one large "slot". I went to a the Blue big box hardware store, bought two T-connectors (to join the bottom front and back pieces at the ground level, some caps (to close it up when I made some pipe cuts to avoid water getting in), some Elbows for the ends of the ground rods and some PVC glue to secure connections and seal it up (spent about $40). I used the elbows on the ground ends, put 1 inch pipe (which I cut from leftover parts) into them and a cap on the end, added a one inch pipe and cap to the bottom of the T-connections joining the two sections together (this raised then whole thing off the ground), shortened the front pipe to about 18 inches (to make it easy to remove floaties). No longer have floaties on the concrete collecting debris. ... show more

    • Not at all what I hoped. The size & quality were definitely not as expected. I can’t be sure it was just a fluke, but I lost $.

I purchased this hoping to keep my pool area clean and looking good but it fell apart just as my warranty period ended. This was not what I had hoped for and I wouldn’t buy it again. I feel I paid way too much for it and if it was good quality and lasted even one season I’d have been happy, but one good wind swoop or just normal use and it was destroyed. I don’t know if they sell higher quality ones, but if they do, I’d recommend that you pay the extra and make sure you look it over carefully so that you don’t get stuck with a broken item that should have lasted you for a couple of years, not a month or two. I’d still give the company a chance as many times they don’t know either until the buyers tell them so I doing this review in hopes that they’ll see it and make sure to check the items better. It looks great at first, but that changes quickly and most sellers buy in bulk so they do get the bad end of the stick sometimes so be sure to read the reviews and don’t just blame the seller before being sure it wasn’t just a freak thing or that they didn’t honestly know and they too are victims of a bigger wholesaler. I’d try them again as I almost always believe in second chances. I’ll just make sure I really do my homework next time. My other issue was that it didn’t fit the floats and stuff that it showed in the pics. It was much smaller then I wanted and so I now know to make sure I look at the real measurements first. Just be careful because a lot of sellers say you have a while to return with no questions asked, but it can cost you so much more to return it than you paid to begin with. That’s just something I learned the hard way and a lot more than once. So if they are a company who really wants your business you should be fine. I paid a lot more for this than you’d think and that is why I’m so disappointed. I don’t mind paying for things that’ll last but not for something that I lost so much on. Always read the reviews and not just the top ones. And don’t always listen to the bad ones as I always point out, there are so many scammers looking for free items and money that they ruin it for everyone else. But if you pay attention you’ll learn how to spot them. I believe in giving the seller a second chance so I have no problem buying from them again in the future. I gave a 3 rating because I don’t know the facts and if it was a fluke then it’s not fair for me to hurt the sellers for a one time thing they too can lose money on. ... show more

It wasn't obvious from the picture, but the base is intended to be filled with water or sand. Water was easier, so I used that. Once assembled with water in the base, it's actually more stable than it looks. If you put all your towels on one side, you could probably tip it over, but it's not too hard to distribute the load, and then it's quite stable and shouldn't fall over. It's definitely handy to have this out by the hot tub, and it's all plastic so I don't mind leaving it outside. ... show more
