I wanted these shoes for the beach or while in the pool or sitting poolside. I tried them on yesterday and they fitted perfectly. I came up with the idea of purchasing these shoes after not wanting to go barefooted in the water. Since I don’t walk around barefooted either, I didn’t want to be at a pool or the beach without some sort of shoes on. But I did not want thongs or slides. I bought these to match a swim suit I was buying. These weren’t my first choice. I choice them after I picked my swim suit. I have a funny way of trying on shoes. I only try on the left shoe. If it fits I buy the shoes. If I’ve bought the shoes before trying them on, I still only try on the left shoe. These shoes are attractive, fit well, they feel good and they don’t smell. I was unsure about these due to the variance in peoples reviews, however I am glad to say that I went ahead and purchased a set for myself and my wife. I went half a size up which was a mistake, my true size would have fitted perfectly. To be honest the half size up has not stopped me using them for walks and beach walks. I walk with a National Trust and we do hikes and costal walks which include times over rocks and in the water. So far no problems at all. They're comfy, and I like how the strap velcroes to the front of the shoe, but the back is really thick and would probably rub a blister onto your heel if it got wet. They could possibly be used for water, but I would use these more as fashion during the summer, to keep your feet cool. These beach shoes were a life saver. I did not feel the gravel rocks under my feet while on the beach. They have been a safety feature when I go to the sauna or pool at the gym. They grip the floor so I don't feel I will slip and fall. At 73yo, I don't want to fall for any reason.

Bought these water shoes last minute for a trip to a water park. They worked out perfectly and shipping was super quick (next day). They are very flexible, light weight, breathable, easy to rinse/clean, and comfortable! I like the Velcro feature more than laces although the Velcro did come undone 2-3 times in faster currents, it was an easy and quick fix. They do run a smidge big so I’d recommend sizing down a half size to get a tighter fit. ... show more

These water shoes fit very true to size. They were comfortable and ‘breathable’. Quick to dry. I used them to walk to and from the beach. Great in the sand. I did not feel any hot sand. And when on the boardwalk - same thing: comfortable walking with no awkwardness. The Velcro closure stayed taut and kept the shoes fitted so no flopping up and down. I wore these are the water park all day and they held up great and my feet didn't hurt anymore than they do in sneakers. They do attract sand at the beach, but it didn't bother me and most of it fell off on the walk back to the hotel.
