No fasteners for leg height

I thought this was wood but it turned out to be a collapsible metal stand which actually is nicer because it breaks down easily & its easy to store.

This is a bit of a preliminary review, as the first one I received of this was defective. While it's aluminum, it's not the best quality and with the first one I received I couldn't get one of the legs to lock into place as it was sort of dented and the ball part just wouldn't go through the hole and stay. It was wobbly and not sturdy. I'm hoping when I get the second one in that it will be usable. Temporarily I'm giving this 3 stars. I got the replacement in, and it's really just as badly constructed. It was even missing 4 of those plastic end caps (two on the top and two on the front of the arms). It's wobbly and not sturdy. The job on the metal is sloppy. It's 2 stars now.

GIFT FOR GRANDSON

I was using an old foldable worktable to hold my archery target at the right height, but when I saw this Swatolo Archery Range stand I thought I'd give it a try. Since both my wife and I are into archery, I thought it would be a sound investment and was even planning to get a second one. I can say that this stand holds targets at a proper height, is fairly sturdy and holds heavy target boxes like Yellow Jacket, just fine. Functionally, it does what it's supposed to do, so I'm happy with it. It also folds flat for storage, which is great as we don't have a basement, so storage space is in high demand. However, this stand fits easily in a corner of my garage, or behind cabinets. Due to the light weight of the device, it's also quite portable when folded, you can throw it in the trunk of your car and go shooting outdoors. While I really like the functionality and portability of this stand, it really needs a slight improvement in fit and finish. It's made from aluminum, but not the best quality. The first one I received had one of its legs stuck and was not able to snap into place when unfolding and I couldn't use it at all. I've reached out to the manufacturer, and I'll see if they help with the issue. So, there are quality issues in the construction of this stand. The bottom part of the extendable leg is much longer than it needs to be compared to the top of the frame it's connected to. It becomes a little more difficult to get the spring-loaded pins that snap into the proper holes to lock the legs in the extended position so that they engage the holes exactly. The square tubes should be close to the same size to work properly. More importantly, there should be no sharp edges mentioned above. There should be plastic caps on all ends of square tubes and legs to prevent cuts and scratches. There is no such protection in the extension tube connection area and the top edges are very sharp. I was able to fix the issue by simply grinding and filing these ends to smooth them out and I highly recommend you do the same. This also applies to the top of the rear support legs especially when the stand is folded for storage or transportation. I think for the price charged, the fit and finish should be better and safer. One feature that's missing in this stand, and I hope the manufacturer reads my review and will take it into consideration in future versions of this stand, is that you can't adjust height. The current height is perfect for me so I won't complain but for other people it can be too high or low. The stand already has extensible legs, so why not let it have several extension positions to allow for the height adjustment? Otherwise, it's a great stand and works perfectly for my needs! *** TL;DR *** Yes, I do recommend this stand if you are into archery. It's perfect for home use or for taking it outdoors. It is sturdy and holds my heavy archery target very well and has the right height/angle. It's made of aluminum so it shouldn't rust or corrode. It folds nicely into a flat shape for easier storage and transportation. However, you need to do some TLC and file off and smooth out sharp edges on the tubes to prevent scratching and cutting your hands. So, functionally it's perfect, quality could be better. Still, solid 4 stars! +++ Pros +++ 1) Sturdy and holds my heavy archery target very well. 2) Provides proper height/angle. 3) Made of aluminum, so it shouldn't rust or corrode. 4) Folds nicely into a flat shape for easier storage and transportation. --- Cons --- 1) Fit and finish are not the best. 2) Has sharp edges that need grinding. 3) Height adjustment feature would be nice.
