Description

The Transitional Swaddle Sack is the easiest & safest way to transition baby from a traditional swaddle. The arms up sleeve design allows baby to self- soothe and the unique ½-length sleeves with foldover mitten cuffs closed provide partial suppression of the Startle Reflex to promote better sleep; and, if baby rolls over during sleep, the sleeves allow baby to use arms to lift torso and head to access air to promote safer sleep. The Transitional Swaddle Sack is ideal for babies who prefer to sleep with arms up, babies who are starting to rollover, and babies who break out of a traditional swaddle. The uniquely-shaped, ½-length sleeves are not full length, so when mitten cuffs are closed, baby’s arms will be flexed close to body for swaddle snugness. The foldover mitten cuffs may be worn open or closed. Caregiver can open one or both cuffs, so baby can self-soothe by sucking directly on hand. Helpful 2-way zipper with 2 zipper pulls. The zipper zips down from the top to make it easy to place baby in the sack and zips up from the bottom to make it easy to change baby’s diaper. Designed by a nurse. 100% Cotton. Game changer for strong babies!

Omg, I seriously did not know what I was missing until I got this swaddle!! Originally I had the velcro swaddles which worked, but we noticed he preferred to sleep with his arms up, and he started breaking out of them at 6 weeks. So I Ordered the love to dream, but the arms were too short and it never kept him in deep sleep or helped him relax. Since then its been such a struggle to put him down for a nap or to bed. And when it finally did happen, he would be up in 20 minutes because his strong startle reflex. I got this swaddle thinking let me just try it, since he’s starting to show signs of rolling I will need one like this soon anyways, and the only thing I regret is not getting this sooner!! The first night he wore this, it relaxed him instantly, and I was finally able to put him down, and he stayed down for HOURS. I watched his startle reflex 5 times, and it put him back to sleep each time! It’s just enough wiggle room for his arms to move but also go back into place when he falls back asleep, it’s soft and cozy but not too warm, and I LOVE the double zipper for late night changes. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A total game changer for our baby! This sleep sack deserves 100 stars and it’s so cheap compared to the counterparts!!!!!!! I almost never write reviews, but I had to for this sleep sack. Our baby has always been a very active sleeper and constantly wakes himself up by flailing his arms. We tried several different sleep sacks, and nothing made a noticeable difference. This is only our second night using this one, and the results have honestly amazed us. Tonight I laid him down awake, and within 3 seconds he was asleep! I watched him on the baby monitor because I couldn’t believe it. He looked so comfortable and settled immediately. The fabric is incredibly soft, lightweight, and breathable, and it seems to provide just the right amount of comfort without restricting movement. It has already become an essential part of our bedtime routine. I was so impressed after the very first night that I already bought a second one so we’ll always have one while the other is in the wash. If your baby struggles with settling down or constantly wakes themselves up with active arms, I absolutely recommend giving this sleep sack a try. My baby was 4.5 months and it was past time to take her out of a swaddle even though she was not rolling yet, but her startle reflex was still full force, I got this as a more cost friendly option compared to some other brands. I was pleasantly surprised, it’s soft, great quality material, doesn’t seem to shrink with washing drying (I only dry on medium heat), it’s light enough to use year round for our house temp, easy to change a diaper at night when needed. For size reference my baby is 12lbs, but she is only about 24-24.5” and I originally got a small, but I had to get a medium even though the small is advertised to be up to 26”. The one pictured is the medium, it still fits her good with room to grow. I like the option to have the hands fully out as well. She actually has continued to sleep great through the transition out of the swaddle wrap and into this transitional swaddle. My only complaint is the color is not the same as pictured. In the advertised picture it appeared more of a “dusty” color, but in person it’s like a brighter coral shade. ... show more

I used this Transitional Swaddle Sack for my baby and overall it’s been really helpful during the swaddle transition. The material is soft, and I like the arms-up design with the mitten cuffs, it seems comfortable and safe for sleep. These swaddles are such a great affordable option! My daughter absolutely loves her arms being up. After having the more expensive versions, I was looking for an alternative and this is it! Works great and fits so nicely. Super stretchy for her kicking legs and is soft to touch. My daughter calms when I put these on for her. So easy to use and easy to clean. The colors are so pretty as well. It’s not too thick but has a little layer so a great option for hot sleepers like my baby. A Transition Swaddle You Can Use Even After Baby Starts Rolling

We loved the Love to Dream swaddle until our little guy started rolling. Once we had to unzip the arms, he was constantly startling himself awake and waking much more often. This sleep sack was exactly what we needed. His arms are still somewhat contained, which helped reduce the startle reflex, but I also love that the mittens can be opened later as your baby becomes more comfortable rolling. It made the transition much smoother than going straight to a regular sleep sack. Another feature I really like is the roomy bottom. It gives plenty of space for kicking and healthy hip movement while still keeping him cozy. If your baby is outgrowing a swaddle but isn’t quite ready for completely free arms, I highly recommend giving this one a try. ... show more

Update: changed from five stars to three stars because after a week or two one of the cuffs stopped… “working.” Her arm pokes through every time. Like the cuff just rolls away and she gets her arm through. I know that it is some sort of manufacturing issue because it happens every single time, very quickly, on one side, but doesn’t ever happen on the other side. This has been happening for months. It doesn’t matter how I adjust it, it still happens. I think I am going to try to sew it closed, if I can find time. The cuffs are kind of the whole point of this swaddle sleep sack, so if one doesn’t work, it is just kind of a waste of money. My daughter is 6 months old and is still very reliant on a swaddle to sleep. Without a swaddle, she wakes up as soon as I set her down. She also wakes up every time that she starts to rustle, without a swaddle. She can roll from back to stomach in the swaddle, so I have her swaddled just for naps and watch her like a hawk. At night, I don’t keep her swaddled and she sleeps very poorly. I end up bringing her in bed very early in the night. This thing helps her sleep just like a swaddle, and this amazes me! It is definitely safe for a rolling baby, because when she rolls over she can still get up on her elbows just fine. She stays asleep just fine when I set her down in this, and she is able to get back to sleep after rustling around in her sleep. She still isn’t sleeping through the night, but I definitely did not expect her to. She is a breastfed six month old, so it is very normal for her to wake to nurse at night. Note that it is winter and cold in our house, so she is in thick pajamas underneath this, which helps to keep her arms tight and cozy. In the summer, if she was wearing only this, I am not sure whether or not it would have the same effect. Regarding sizing, I found the sizing to be a little odd. I got her the medium, which says 3-6 months and 14-21 pounds. To me, 14-21 pounds seems more like a 6-9 month range. She is six months old and 18 pounds, which is very high in the percentiles. For clothing, she fits best in 6-9 or 9-12 months and doesn’t fit in a single of her 3-6 month clothes, but I still went with the medium 3-6 month size because she fit in the weight range. It fits just fine! It looks a little funny in the picture because she has a jacket on underneath. With the sizing, go with the weight range rather than age. It is also a bit stretchy so I think it will fit for a while. ... show more
