Works great on my trailer carrying a heavy Lund Fiberglass boat. My original lockout piece fell out somewhere and this is great because the magnet holds it in place really well. No more accidental brake activation!

I have a SeaDoo Switch. The trailer is equipped with brakes. The OEM brake lockout pin does not stay in place without tape. The brake lockout is necessary for backing the boat into the water. This magnetic lock is perfect. The magnet is strong and it will stay in place. Lockout for backing and an easy removal and storage, as you can just attach it using the magnet to any part of the trailer when using it for normal traveling.

If you have surge breaks and trying to back up a trailer - especially if ther eis a little hill. get one of these the brakes will not engage regardless of having a 5th pin or not. just a little extra benefit.

I have a Dexter surge brake actuator with manual lockout. Even though I have the manual lockout on this actuator, I've had the experience of having the twist lockout cap stolen at a boat ramp and I was stuck trying to back the trailer into our camping site once we recovered the boat. I bought this magnetic mechanical lockout "KEY" so I wouldn't be stuck in any situation like that in the future. This item fit my Dexter surge brake actuator perfectly without any modification. It seems of quality build that should last a long time.
