I got this for my friend's son for his 7th birthday and he absolutely LOVES it! He loves playing dress up (especially if we're talking about super hero dress up) and this costume is the perfect addition to his collection! He is an extremely small kid for his age. He literally still wears size 4T clothing. He's about 38 pounds and 42 inches tall, so I got him a size small. The small is actually a tiny bit big, but that's fine because he still has some room to grow into it. He's a pretty active kid and is always running around, doing flips etc., and the costume has held up well throughout his antics. I'd imagine that if the fit was more snug it might not be as "durable." The costume isn't super thick and is definitely a thin stretchy material. One thing to note, this costume does NOT come with any built in muscle. I absolutely didn't expect it to based on the price point. I actually think it's kind of nice without it, as the costume doesn't get as hot when he's running around and playing. The red boot portion of the costume is basically something that just covers your shoes. There are stirrup traps that will go under whatever shoes your child is wearing to keep the legs in place. Your child could wear any boot, sneaker, etc. underneath and the "shoe" portion of the red is a decent size and not too snug. Overall, I think this costume is a great value. There aren't many other super hero costumes you can find for such a great price. I highly recommend!

I REALLY wanted to get a Superman costume with the fake muscles, but the one I ordered arrived without a cape and my son absolutely hated how the muscle padding felt. So we got this one and it worked out way better. Toddler size was a little big for a 20 month old growing out of 18 month clothes, but it still looked great! I would recommend wearing tight clothes underneath or you would probably see them through the costume. It worked well for a Halloween costume, but probably wouldn’t hold up for lots of use. The Velcro came off on the cape just from trying it on, but we had some sticky Velcro already so that was an easy fix.

As soon as this costume was delivered, we opened it up because my son was waiting patiently for this costume. Upon examining the costume, we noticed a few things. 1) the letter "S" was cracked and peeling off. 2) the Velcro on the back to keep the costume on was only on one side and not two, so it wouldn't close. I have attached pictures of the poor workmanship. My son and we were very disappointed in this costume. It's inexpensive in price and very cheap and put together poorly. I wouldn't buy this again at all. I don't recommend. For those looking for size comparison of this size small, my son is 5.3 years old and the small fits just fine.

Material is thin. The back closure only has Velcro at the very top, and the rest is wide open. There is a huge gap so it’s a chilly day your child will need a shirt underneath. Also, the Velcro is barely sewn into the cape. One side fell off during the first use. We tie the cape in a knot now - which makes me nervous if someone pulls on it, it won’t have the break away feature of the Velcro. So potential safety hazard. The “underwear” portion is oddly sewn into the costume and somewhat looks like Superman is almost wearing a thong! Haha...it’s kind of comical. My little boy likes the costume despite my dissatisfaction. The costume I would’ve picked did not have the “underwear” on the outside...which is a must of all “real” superheroes in my son’s book! Haha!

I was concerned about how this costume would look since it didn’t have the build in muscles I was looking for, but OMG my son looked amazing and cute in it!! It fit perfectly! My 3 year old is a bit wide in the chest area anyway and made it look great! I love the way the legs looked tapered yet cool and perfect! My son loves wearing it! It doesn’t even matter it does not come with a mask! He was happy with the cape. I’m guessing it didn’t come with one because some toddlers like mine don’t like things covering the face it can be scary. I liked that the costume that fit just right to size but if you want more room I would say a size bigger. I thought it looking tight made it cute. My son also had pj leggings and a long sleeve under it. But every parent and child feels different. At the end of the day we were all happy with it and it didn’t need the build in muscle because the size as well as the costume made it look great! We got the 3T

My boy loved it they had favorite super hero day in pre school and he LOVES Superman so I thought OMG THIS IS PERFECT! he's a thick little boy for a 4 year old but I got him a small I didn't want the costume to be dragging off of him plus he was only going to use it that 1 day so I took the risk and got him a small and he still had some room in there WITH clothes under definitely recommend 😇😇

We bought this because the kids had a hero and princess ball at the daycare. My son is three years old and loves Superman right now. When we got this and put it on him you could see how proud he was and wore it to daycare and enjoyed it very much. However after wearing it probably a half a dozen times we noticed all the seams started to pull a part, around the waist was the worst on the main part of the outfit. The belt that wraps around the seams started to pull off the belt, the Velcro on the back of the main costume started to pull a part. Of course now my son wants to wear it and he started to notice all the holes in it and is upset. I guess if you needed something for one day to wear this is OK however if it’s something that your kid wants to wear often because he likes it you need to find a better made outfit. I read the reviews prior to purchasing this And saw that there were several reviews talking about the Superman emblem coming off and other issues. Our emblem is still attached however some of the reviews about the material being cheaply made and coming apart is true and I took a gamble purchasing this because a lot of items I look at the reviews are misleading and I’ve had good success in buying items from Amazon however the reviews on this is accurate
