I needed more space for books and figurines I have been collecting. This looked like it was a good size and good price for what I wanted. The setup was fairly easy. I did it myself but 2 people could go a lot faster. It took me about an hour to get finished. You get all the tools you need but I do recommend a hex driver set if you have one to make things easier than the provided Allen wrenches. One of the sections seemed to be uneven but didn't notice it after I connected them. The crossbars are a bit easy to bend as well so be careful. I love the look and size of this book case and it seems pretty sturdy. I gave it four stars because it can be a little difficult to put together. The hardest part of assembling it is putting the wood shelves in place. You definitely have to use a drill to get the nails in. It was extremely hard to drill the nails in for the middle shelves. I originally bought this to store my many gaming books, but I soon found the style and look of this shelving unit fit better to display my many collectibles. This shelf looks very nice in my gaming room and showcases my personal favorite toys. It is amazing how the look of this unit changes the whole room. Another feature I like is the ability to buy another unit and merge them into a larger bookcase. Putting together the bookcase was easy enough for me to do by myself. It is sturdy once assembled. 57 yo female - put it together by myself. Very easy assembly and a sturdy and attractive finish. Just don’t tighten things more than necessary until you’re completely done. That’s how you get a sturdy end product.
