I have been using thrive 38 SPF makeup primer. I liked it because it's slippy. Also because it doesn't leave any residue or white shining. This product is really much much better. Even slippier! Not sure that's a word. But it is. And it has the same attributes and more SPF. Slightly more expensive, but this is something you don't go through at a huge rate if you're me and retired. Since I discovered I have rosacea and was told I need a sunscreen to wear daily I have been looking everywhere for one that doesn't make my face feel greasy or leave it white! This is more on the pricey side of them but it is so worth it! It feels silky when you put it on and is so lightweight and clean feeling I never even know I have it on! 100% recommend this to any one looking for a sunscreen that doesn't leave you looking and feeling like you applied sunscreen!

Giving this 4 out of 5 stars because it's certainly not unscented, it has a strong floral scent that lingers. I put it on 2 hours ago and can still smell it. However, the texture is exactly like a velvety gel makeup primer and it really does provide a matte finish that makeup adheres to.
