Got this for my son's birthday party and overall, I would say it was just okay. My son loved wearing it and was the center of attention at the party, but there were a few drawbacks that detracted from the experience. The costume was a bit bulky and uncomfortable to wear for extended periods of time, and the internal fan wouldn't stay put. It was waaaaay to big for my 5yo. It actually fit me better. It wasn't THAT big around his waist but you'd have to pin the straps if you're using this for a young kid. It could work if needed. I didn't have any problems with the motor staying in.

This worked great. It was a bit big for my 3.5 year old. I bought stick on Velcro and crossed the straps in the back. Worked great for one evening. The pump was left on for hours at daycare and the pump still functioned the next day.
